Castillo by murder. Juan receives a broken nose and a swollen closed eye, and lose by UD.

Murder is an overstatement. Castillo would win, but it wouldnt be a blowout. Diaz's handspeed, and activity would win him rounds against Castillo. However, in the long run I think Castillo's power and strength would take its toll on Diaz.

not sure if Diaz can sustain the kind of late punishment Castillo inflicted on Lazcano. probably not, Castillo via late TKO.

Agreed. Castillo is just too strong and too good at fighting the fight Diaz likes to fight.

Diaz's speed and persistence and combinations keep him in it, but I think when the late rounds come Castillo's cumulative punishment, greater accuracy and strength take their toll.

Plus Diaz may "land" the flurries and combos, but Castillo lands the bigger artillery.

    Peace.

I wouldnt write Diaz completely off. Castillo wins but I think its close enough. Styles make fights and a good comparison is both their fights with Julio Diaz. Neither fighters takes a step back and neither have great lateral movement or footspeed. What Diaz does have on Castillo is better hand speed but Castillo's agresion and power may tip it. I think either a close decision or late stoppage for Castillo but Diaz has got years ahead to prove us all wrong, whereas we have seen the best of Jose.

Anyone who thinks Diaz wins this is crazy

Castillo wasnt a great fighter, but he was a hell of a lot better than Diaz and would outmuscle him and move him around as he pleased

Remember Fullmer/Peret? picture that with two smaller, lesser fighters

Diaz has success early, but is punished late and stopped.
