So this is why Povetkin wouldn't fight Wlad... Atlas had something greater planned for him!

Seldon, Tyson, Joe Hipp.....Glory Days. Mid 1990's, when Lard-Arses weren't contenders, they were champions!!!

one of the best fights I saw back in the day (on cable mind you, not live) was Tommy Morrison vs. Joe Hipp. now THAT was a fight.

Morrison's jaw and both hands were broken, while Hipp had shattered cheekbones. Morrison stopped him in the 9th.

Ferdie Pacheco....those were the days, what, eh, what, eh???

Remember his outstanding, almost...pillar-of-brilliance-esque performance during the Benn-McCellan fight?

I laughed when I heard that Showtime took Ferdie out into an Alley one day and told the old tearful bullshitter that they were finished with him.

That said he deserves honourable mention for trying to protect Ali from both himself and the Nation of Sham.:clapagain::clapagain:

Isn't this the same Teddy Atlas who threw one of his trademark shit-fits when Butler dropped Grant in the ring after the fight had ended? Teddy was ranting about propriety and assault and how the Commission should come down heavy etc.
