Seldon, Tyson, Joe Hipp.....Glory Days. Mid 1990's, when Lard-Arses weren't contenders, they were champions!!!
one of the best fights I saw back in the day (on cable mind you, not live) was Tommy Morrison vs. Joe Hipp. now THAT was a fight. Morrison's jaw and both hands were broken, while Hipp had shattered cheekbones. Morrison stopped him in the 9th. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lI27yXxQJm4&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lI27yXxQJm4&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/deFNuW1tSFk&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/deFNuW1tSFk&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/KE5TY8gFaJE&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/KE5TY8gFaJE&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/he4apxiwg8E&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/he4apxiwg8E&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Nice to see Atlas nimbly guiding his charge to the heavyweight championship..what a farce, there won't be much left of him when teddy is finished
Wouldn't have made it onto the undercard of a middlweight ten-rounder back in the days of the old Blue Horizon, I can promise ya.
BoxingScene talked to Greg Sirb, and says this is being investigated. http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&opt=printable&id=30021
Ferdie Pacheco....those were the days, what, eh, what, eh??? Remember his outstanding, almost...pillar-of-brilliance-esque performance during the Benn-McCellan fight? I laughed when I heard that Showtime took Ferdie out into an Alley one day and told the old tearful bullshitter that they were finished with him. That said he deserves honourable mention for trying to protect Ali from both himself and the Nation of Sham.:clapagain::clapagain:
Isn't this the same Teddy Atlas who threw one of his trademark shit-fits when Butler dropped Grant in the ring after the fight had ended? Teddy was ranting about propriety and assault and how the Commission should come down heavy etc. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BI3D7h5yxOs?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BI3D7h5yxOs?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> Yes...."very very enforceful" was what Teddy was calling for.:scared: Well I hope Teddy get's...."very very enforced" for his transgressions.:Gulp:
