Unreal. Eats 50 flush bombs in the 1st round, totally clueless standing, then he lands one fluke punch and a monsterous knee and wins by KO.:laughing:
Something wrong with what I said? MMA fans wanted to hang a lucky punch on a pro boxer, if James Toney landed. Warren is clueless, he ate 30 flush uppercuts and hooks in the 1st round, survives thanks to an incredible chin, lands one punch, one knee and wins. Last time he got beaten up, put in a deep sub, and gets saved by the bell. The guy is tough and can absorb a lot of punishment, but he has hit the lottery so many times you lose count. He´s almost like Bobby Lashley, little skills besides groundcontrol, but keeps pulling wins out of his a**. Not sure he even knows the rules, because he kept hammering the back of Soto´s head, but it could also be his level of accuracy. Soto deserved that knee at the end though for being a cocky dumb SOB.
I agree with most of what you wrote but especially this. I was rooting for Soto until he started with the Ali-like antics. At that point I wanted him to get his ass kicked. I'm glad that knee cracked his skull. I will give Warren credit for having an iron chin and an even harder will. The guy was blasted by Pitbull and Soto but never lost faith or slowed his aggression. If he could develop even average boxing, he will be difficult for anyone. Unfortunately he currently has some of the worst stand-up in MMA. Good fight though, huh?
I am just saying this from experience. You don't land a punch and know then to crush someone with a knee if you are clueless. Joe has bad standup. But you can't be clueless and beat Soto. It just isn't happening. To compare him to Bobby Lashley is laughable. Warren is 100% committed to MMA. Lashley is a joke who relies on his name from Pro Wrestling. Joe Warren can compete with anyone at his weight in the world. You don't get to that point being lucky or clueless. I agree Trplsec, good fight and a fun watch. I couldn't believe how many shots Joe was eating. The guy is up there with Chris Leben in the chin department.
He thinks too much in the stand up and that makes him wait or telegraph shots. The best punch he threw was the instinctive left hook AFTER the knee. He didn't think. He didn't consider how or when to throw it. He just let it go. He needs to do that from the bell.
