Will David Haye ever grow a pair of balls and fight Wlad or Vitaly ?

He talked so much shit. He even had custom made t-shirts made to insult them but then goes and fights Ruiz and Audley....Grow some balls Haye. Don't call people out if you don't intend to fight them. Do you think he will fight them in 2011 or not?

 

No. He is all talk. I don't even care if he fight Vitali anyways. Vitali Is too old now and IMO should quit while he is on a good run.


Wlad, on the other hand, no way. He'll talk the talk for a while but again find a way out.

 

Haye always has this upset look about him. The way he poses and preens with his shitty little belt, it is as if he is angry people aren't respecting him as much as he wants. He always looks like he is on the verge of tears as he manfully tries to maintain this front of confidence.

The lad is also a flagrant liar. In fact he spends so much time on his grooming that I would call him a fragrant liar.

He also has a history of pulling out of fights.

He accuses the Klitschkos of only being big in Germany. Haye, on the other hand, is only big in England, despite people walking out of his fights and despite having to give away tickets for his fight with Monte Barrett.

People who are big in Germany are bigger than those who are big in England. That's a simple case of economics.

I would give Haye credit for this much: he has fooled the English public. Haye despises England. He doesn't live in England. He lives in Turkish Cyprus. He hates the English diet, English social life. His wife doesn't even call herself Natasha when they are in Cyprus. She calls herself "Nadia", so as to not offend the locals. Basically, this guy and his lot are as far removed from the grimy, colourful, industrial British look they hawk so effectively.

And yet there are the mobs and the yobs, lapping it up.

 

No, he won't fight either Klitschko before the end of 2011, and possibly not ever. I was of a different opinion maybe a year ago, but Haye has proven over and over again that he has no desire whatsoever to step up and risk a loss at heavyweight, despite the rewards. His fear has clearly dimmed whatever competitive spirit he had before moving up.

This is sad. I am one who believes that Haye has maybe a 1/3 chance against Wlad because he is capable of moving quite well even in the later rounds of a fight, he is not fat and lazy, and he has a GREAT looping right hand bomb that he can sneak in there if he just gets in a bit close to his opponent. He landed it on Valuev, and he'd land it on Wlad. So in my view, Wlad vs. Haye is a question of "can Haye prevent or weather the slow and consistent erosion by Wlad long enough in order to land his bombs and turn the fight around?" I say one time in three, he does.

My guess is that Haye will wait until Wald, Vitali, or both are old enough that they are semi-retired and really not fighting consistently anyway. Then he will start the drumbeat again, the trash talk, and maybe when Vitali is 40-some years old Haye will call him out. What a waste. At this rate, Haye will probably eventually take some scrub too lightly and lose, thus blowing the whole deal anyway.

Haye is a midget child who is living one life and declaring to be living another.

There is an overall with Haye that people are missing.

He is desperately insecure and seems to be trying to carve a separate, parallel existence for himself, separate from England and the Klitschkos, but parallel to them nonetheless.

He despises England and the Klitschkos..but needs both of them.

I am giving him the benefit of the doubt here. It would be far easier to merely dismiss him as yet another primadonna prissy athlete cunt.

 

Sadly, I fear that the answer is that Haye won't. I was certain that he would when he first moved up but the worst thing that could have happened was his winning the WBA bauble against Valuev. It has effectively removed any financial necessity of his having to fight a Kilt. Moreover, he is now a household name in England and pretty much a superstar here (or as much as a boxer not named 'Ricky Hatton' can be nowadays) with regular TV and other media appearances trumpting him as the 'World Heavyweight Champion'.

He is now in a position to make millions of £££ without ever actually having to fight either Klitchsko. Which is a shame because, as Outlander alludes, Haye is the only current HW who has anything more than a 5% chance of beating Wlad or Vitali.

I genuinely believe he wanted to. I don't think it was all a charade. Maybe he's seen something or experienced something in sparring since which put the willies right up him. Either way it's a shame because he's quickly gone from a potential breath of fresh air and excitement in the division to another major negative talking point.

I don't think he has the style to stand much chance against either & maybe he clocked onto that in the last 18 months or so (his in & out style is far better suited to beating Vitali, IMO, but then there's the problem of their respective chins, while his propensity to fight at range & counterpunch is horrible to beat Wlad, IMO, but he has his punchers chance there). The only real problem here is his calling himself a 'world champion' with a straight face. Wlad nailed it - he's the champion of London, if that, nothing more.

 

Deep down I think he is happy being the face of London. The Champ of London. He get's to live off the moronic fiction of him blowing the Klitschkos away, he has his little compurgator buddies in the press, like Bunce and Kevin Mitchell, he is like a pig in shit.

Then, when, ironically, he tires of the bullshite, he retreats to Cyprus for a few months.

He then names a new opponent, says the Klitschkos don't respect him, his media buddies kick into action, and off he pops again.

Note the common theme with opponents like Harrison, Ruiz, Barrett....before Barret he wanted to know who Barret was and what he had had done to earn a fight with the "Hayemaker". He fought Ruiz because everyone wanted him to get rid of Ruiz. He says Harrison doesn't deserve it {Harrison has fought better heavies than Haye has and also beat their common opponent} and that he is doing everyone a favour by getting rid of Harrison.

I mean, Haye hasn't even tried anything on British level at heavyweight, which, IMHO, would have been as dangerous as anything he is doing with the likes of Monte Barrett.

Don't sleep on Sprott.......he has a win over Harrison...something Haye has only recently grown the balls to try and get. Also a guy like Sprott who trains with the Klitschkos and has been in with Corrie Sanders, Lamon Brewster, Taras Bydenko...

 

Barret and Ruiz were slightly past peak. There's absolutely nothing to suggest they were 'woefully' past their best. Ruiz was coming off a very contentious loss to Valuev and Barret was coming off a run of form consistent with the hit & miss C+ standard of his entire career.

Both were vastly better than British level tripe like Sprott or Francis & IMO still better than Danny Williams or Dominick Guinn too. Valuev, also.

Have to disagree pretty resolutely on this one mate.:scared2:

It's pretty classless. But it would have been forgivable if he'd at least followed up on it. As is I find myself wishing Wlad had done like you say.

 

Harisson probably hits just as hard. But he's a fucking hairstylist in a fighters body. He's terrified of being a boxing ring which makes him just about the least dangerous hard puncher in boxing history.
