Real sour buildup to this one.

Booth is a recovering alcoholic whose brother is an addict and whose sister committed suicide.

Molitor has bashed at least one British fighter in the past and fancies his chances here against Booth.

But Booth says he has a trick up his sleeve......Molitors brother was recently sentenced to jail for stabbing his then-girlfriend no fewer than 58 times.

Booth says he intends to wind Molitor up during the fight by asking him how his "bro is doing"

Michael Hunter ought to be ashamed of himself. This little recovering drug addict, Booth, has already given Molitor a better fight than the much bigger and healthier Hunter has. After 5 rounds Booth is probably slightly ahead.

Molitor needs to win the last round or he is through.

Yes. One judge, the British judge gave it to Booth, the other two had it a draw and win for Molitor respectively. I don't know what that makes it.....majority decision or majority draw.....but Molitor came on strongly down the stretch and won it with cleaner bigger shots.

It was a fairly close fight, but Booth always seemed to be working harder to get the same amount of work done. You would say Molitor was by far the happier guy in there from the mid-point on.

You could hear the urgency in Booths corner so they were concerned, but Molitors just instructed him to keep working......

.....hugely impressive effort from Booth considering that he is a mere shadow of what used to be a pretty decent flyweight. Molitor has clearly regressed now a bit, the advancing years and the tightness at the weight are evident, also that beating from Caballero.

I wouldn't advise Molitor to go looking for too many unifications any time soon. Booth got into range quite often but he is a blown up flyweight and couldn't get off anything really hurtful. Guys like Poontang and others would.

The British judge gave it to Molitor, Irish.

It was a majority decision, which reflected the closeness of the fight, but Molitor definitely won.

Did he, oh well that is even worse then for Booth.

I was looking at Booth when Adam Smith called out that score, hence the mindset.

Booth did himself proud...I mean that Michael Hunter, who is a huge Super-Bantam, got blown away in 5 rounds after a 3 page Boxing Monthly spread had been dedicated to him in the buildup. :shit:

The announcer messed up the reading of the scores. If it's a majority decision then always announce the drawn scorecard first. It ruins the suspense because Booth already knew by the second scorecard he hadn't won.
