A late reminder. This is one I have been waiting for. It includes the Semi Finals of the women's 115 pound tourney. If you haven't watched her before, the best woman BJJ practicioner in the world, Megumi Fujii is fighting a rematch against the much-improved American Lisa Ward. Fujii is 21-0 with 17 wins by submission. She is just worlds ahead of other women when it comes to MMA Jiu-Jitsu. Even if don't like women's MMA, you should check these two fights out. Main Card Women's (115 lbs.) Semi-Final bout: Jessica Aguilar vs. Zoila Frausto Women's (115 lbs.) Semi-Final bout: Megumi Fujii vs. Lisa Ward Welterweight bout: Yoshiyuki Yoshida vs. Chris Lozano
I won't even catch the fights on the internet. Most cards are good but this one is just awful. 3 main card fights? WTF? And two of them women. Lozano vs Yoshida is mildly interesting though....
These are very good chick match-ups.. I understand you're not into women's MMA. That's cool but the match-ups are the best in the world short of that Cyborg dude.
Lozano stopped Yoshida on swelling. Really tight boxing and very technical, aggressive striker. Ground game could be better but is improving. Still needs to tighten up but this is a really good fight for a prospect to win, especially by stoppage.
i had 500 bucks on the over 2 rounds in the Aguilar-Frausto fight @ fucking +175 - i can't believe those odds, if this was a boxing match it wolda been like -500 and i don't think the MMA girlies are much better at stopping anybody. I mean Frausto had like 5 decisions in 8 victories... :tick:
For those that missed it, my girl Megumi Fujii won her 22 straight fight with a quick armbar on Lisa Ward.
