Bisping unloaded the kitchen and sink in the 3rd and nothing. I know Bisping can't really punch but still that was some beating in that round. Bisping is limited but has heart . He is kinda the 185 version of Forrest Griffin.

Yeah, but really the same old Bisping. A hard worker with limited skills.

Akiyama is a bit old to reinvent himself, but if he really worked on being well rounded he would be much more successful. He hits hard and has a great chin, but abandons his judo and his ground game almost completely. His gas tank isn't where it needs to be, either.

Bisping really thinks too highly of himself for a guy that gets hurt as often as he does. He's an absolute sucker for the right hand. He has great endurance though and mixes things up better than most.

I never understand Akiyama. He has worlds best judo, yet he almost tries to avoid using it. I think he never really has learned to transition his judo from a competition sport to a part of MMA

Akiyama has a head shaped like an upside down triangle. He rarely gets tagged on that pointy chin, but it looked like he was ready to go after he got tagged by a right hand followed up by a left shin to the face. Then he got hoofed in the junk and was given a 5-minute rest.

Akiyama would have died in a 5-rounder.

Akiyama Spent the Entire Fight FOLLOWING Bisping Around the Cage, Being Outworked...He'd Land the Occasional "Ooooh" Shot that Yet U Know he COULD Get Bisping Out of there, but Aside from that, he was BADLY OUTWORKED...Easy Fight to Score on Sheer ACTIVITY & the 1 Sided Nature of Round 3...

Akiyama is a Name that REED has Heard Thrown Around Over the Last Few Years, but he Doesn't Seem to B Worth the Hype...Reminds REED of Rocky Juarez; a Guy that Does just Enough to LOSE in Entertaining Fashion....

I seriously don't understand the hype that came with this guy. Akiyama is nothing special. he's a mid level fighter at best.

Bullshit. He submitted Botha thus confirming MMA is greater than boxing!!!

Kidding.. Please understand that. Just kidding.

Seriously, Akiyama developed a nice reputation and huge following in Japan by tearing shit up in K-1 Hero's Tourneys.

Personally I have never seen anything more than an average fighter with a decent punch.

akiyama needs to employ a much better gameplan in the future, he totally neglected his judo and other advantages and simply went headhunting, and dint throw enough for that to even work

Thats not why I hope he gets cut. It's because he's a popular fighter that gets in big name fights, has a big contract, therefore sucks up spots that would go to more useful fighters. Everytime this guy fights he gasses by round 2, and his last two fights of consisted of him wading around the cage throwing haymakers, and somehow gassing himself out despite his pitiful work rate.

God, a truly embarrassing fight and fighter.
