gotta be a little loony if you used to be a commercial fisherman or whatever he was, he prolly banged out sarah palins daughter a couple times
Jonathan looks very good. He looked way more experienced than I gave him credit for. Did anyone else laugh out loud when Koschek was at the house talking trash to team GSP. Stevens made a comment that Koschek was the #2 fighter in the world
He describes how he does his choke in the first episode. I have been trying to use it when i role for about two weeks now, but am still not doing it properly. But after last night i think i know how to do it.
Question about this Cody character. I watched last night's episode and as far as his guillotine choke. How many people has he beaten with it on TUF so far??? I went on sherdog to check him out and he won like 583 fights in a row with the guillotine choke ::
Cody's weekpoint will come against someone with good standup. Cody lives off of wrestlers. They all think they can avoid the choke and use their wrestling. If you haven't noticed, Cody's standup is very suspect.
He won one by TKO, and one with a different sub, Triangle. The rest are Guillotines. Dude puts people to sleep faster than anyone I have seen with that choke. Ridiculous. I know he's your boy Jarhead, has he put that Guillotine on you before?
He has, I blacked out. I was told I wasn't asleep, that my eyes were open and I was talking, but I don't recall anything. My fault though. I told him I wouldn't tapartie:
He really is 12-0. 10-0 plus the fight to get into the house, plus Stevens. I normally don't like guys like Koschek, but I think he is cool despite acting like a cock. Cody is just a great nemesis because he has no fear of Koscheck and can beat him at his own game. Koscheck, to his credit, isn't really getting pissed at Cody, I think he just wants to kick his ass in a fight now. Nothing wrong with that. That really isn't what I consider to be a guillotine, it's more like a naked guillotine or maybe an anaconda? I know I've heard that move called something else. To me, a guillotine is when you have a front headlock position and one of your arms is in the opponent's arm pit. I thought Brookins looked like a dork in the background prior to last night's show and he's had very little camera time so far. He really seemed like a cool guy and a good fighter last night.
What's funny is Koscheck being a prick after Nam's win, and then Josh's baby gets put to sleep in 16 seconds. That's gotta be a TUF record. Georges took the high road by telling his fighters not to talk shit, but you'd LOVE to see Cody talk shit to Koscheck after taking out his number one boy. Sevak acts like a lion for the whole time with the big intimidation factor, and then he goes out like a lamb. Like Foreman said, "Sometimes when there's smoke, there's just a whole lotta more smoke!" Koscheck's GOTTA be pissed off. LOL.
I just rewatched the fight. Did anybody notice that Koscheck was saying he might be the wildcard pick in order to fight Cody? Cody said, "That's good, but I'd have to lose first". Koscheck then says, "He's got balls!" Then, right after Cody puts "Little Koscheck" (Cody's words) to sleep, he walks over to the side of the cage, grabs onto it, and stares right at Koscheck for a few seconds until GSP's group comes in to congratulate him. To cap it off, he says, "Nobody expected me to be here, but---BA-HAA!" :: The guy is really funny. I hope he sticks around because he's a gas.

Mma changes and cycles so much. Just like 4 or 5 years ago guillotine subs were practically unheard of (the sport had evolved past them) now theres alot of solid fighters who are choking out dudes from the front sometimes even standing
They don't officially count, but they really do count. Two professionals fighting with real rules and with a real purpose. M-1 fights count and they are 1 round for 10 minutes. These fights are 2 rds for 10 minutes or 3 rds for 15. So yeah, they are exhibitions so the results don't have to be posted, but they are really pro fights in every way except technically. Oh...I agree about the wildcard...if you lose, you should be out of the running for "The Ultimate Fighter"
Where do you get two rounds for 10 minutes and the third round for 15 minutes? All rounds are 5 minutes. And they really dont count. Nobody remembers/cares that Diaz submitted Maynard in TUF. Gray is undefeated as a pro and has beaten Nate Diaz officially. While TUF looks long, there is a fight every two days. So its not official because these guys really dont have enough time to heal and train properly for these fights. The only fight that counts is the finale because there is plenty of time to train and heal properly. And you get to use your own coach.
</P> wow thats impressive, choked him out and he wasnt even in full guard or anything, sort of like a semi-side mount, had like leg wrapped around the other dudes leg, hooked with his foot amazing
I think he was adding the totals of each round: -1 round: 5 minutes -2 rounds: 10 minutes -3 rounds: 15 minutes
It's still a guillotine, doesn't matter if the arm is in or out. He does do something different, I believe his palm faces out and he presses on his palm with his other hand instead of just grabbing the other arm and squeezing.
It seems like poor coaching to me. Everyone knows that's Cody's signature move. Dave Camarillo is one of the more respected Jiu-Jitsu coaches in MMA. You would figure Koscheck's team would have been able to avoid and/or escape that sub. Crazy.
He calls it the McKenzietine <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Gam7m6K_iCU?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Gam7m6K_iCU?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
I loved that fight when Cody got in the house. He just rolls the dude off and tells the ref he's out. I love this guy!
Was awesome to see that. Loved how after he put him to sleep he walked up the side of the cage where Koscheck was standing staring at him. didnt need to say anything, he knew his performance said everything. Brookins was very impressive. Hes my pick to win it all, looks really well rounded and is a cool dude by the sounds of it too.
As the Saying Goes, "It Takes 1 to KNOW 1"...REED is Pretty Confident that Cody STILL Smokes Pot... REED::
