    a bad dude.

I would love to see him in the UFC. Matching him against Florian, Penn, Edgar or Maynard would be huge.

He walked through Huerta like no one has. The dude is a beast.

Just shows how there is plenty of other good talent outside of the UFC, no matter what Dana White would say.

With Shields in the UFC now, I would say Alvarez is the guy I would rate highest among non UFC fighters. Obviously I consider Aldo part of the UFC.

And I think Ben Askren would give anyone in the world trouble at 170 including GSP. I would love to see that fight. Can GSP stop those take downs? If he does, he wins easily but it wouldn't be an easy task.

Maybe we should start a thread. Best P4P non UFC/WEC fighters:

    1) Eddie Alvarez
    2) Nick Diaz
    3) Fedor Emelianenko
    4) Gilbert Melendez
    5) Ben Askren

Wow you really are underestimating Fedor after that last loss.

Probably. Having Diaz ahead of Fedor is probably stupid. But I honestly think Fedor is at the end of it.

He is definately at the tail end of his career, although he really hasn't looked BAD as of late. Just made a dumb mistake and he paid for it.

Fedor has very little upside at this point in his career. Not that he isn't a great fighter, he certainly is. I just doubt he's interested in fighting more than a few more times. The end is near for Fedor.

I agree with this. It must me hard to get motivated for fights after being in the business for over a decade, having accomplished so much, and having all the money you need.

If Strikeforce was smart they would hook up with Alvarez like yesterday.
