So we agree that SRL was a greater fighter than PBF, but we dissagree on by how much. It's true-I don't care for PBF (his "fans" don't help) -For me he's a great talent as opposed to a great "fighter". He didn't do all he could to prove he was a "great" fighter. For me SRL did.

Ray by very close decision. Floyd's elusiveness and counter punching would trouble him...but his size and flurries would win the day.
Leonard via UD. Size difference is significant, as well as the punching power. Leonard's aggression and workrate would be key in scoring and he'd hurt Floyd a couple of times en route to the win.
Floyd's chin, recuperative abilities, survival instincts in conjunction with his defense and ring generalship is too good. It would take a Hearns combination of power, speed and size to do it...not Leonard. When Floyd is legitimately dropped and close to being stopped then talk to me about Leonard possibly stopping him. Until then we have ZERO data to draw on to reach that conclusion.
Ray Leonard was one of the best finishers I ever saw If it had been HIM in there and not Mosley, that fight would have turned out a LOT different
Ray doesn't throw the same punch; that huge overhand right of Shane's. Floyd's defense is better suited to avoiding left hooks...Leonard's best punch. Besides Shane hit Floyd at a point that usually knocks out most fighters or at least knock them down...it was a very rare shot and caught Floyd during a vulnerable moment (he was leaning over and about to throw an uppercut I think). Anyway.. I say..Leonard never has Floyd in trouble to begin with. But for argument sake..let's suppose he does...Floyd proved he can survive. Jnr is not Snr....and Leonard is not a killer puncher. Leonard had Hearns in serious trouble in both the 6th and 7th rounds of their fight and didn't stop Hearns until the 14th. Mayweather has a better chin and recuperative powers than does Thomas Hearns.
Hearns had immense heart and courage, that as much as anything enabled him to survive those onslaughts Leonard hit harder than Mosley, he had far better technique, a much more fluid command of his arsenal and a great jab... FAR LESSER fighters than Ray Leonard have HURT Floyd Mayweather... Corley and Judah, to name two TOTAL NOBODIES in comparison to Ray Leonard, hurt him... Corley, Judah and grandpa Mosley can hurt him, but Ray Leonard can't? nonsense
