In the buildup to Katsidis vs Marquez it might be worth examining this little-heralded gem of a war between Australia's Troy Waters and the infinitely more talented Terry Norris. Waters was a rank outsider and fought in much the same blood'n'guts style as Katsidis. Norris was a low-down dirty bastard, hitting after the bell, hitting when the opponent was down etc, but Waters persisted and made him fight to the bitter end and came within a few punches of stopping him. Sort of a very poor mans Hagler Hearns except the chinny guy wins :: Waters showed good leverage on his shots, especially those to the nutsack. Czyz couldn't commentate on shit for shit. "It was a right uppercut"...eh no, Bobby, it wasn't. If you listen to the commentary you will hear them discuss how Norris had a history of hitting people when they were down.....his name also got mentioned in the same sentence as Roy Jones, which makes me wonder why Max Kellerman was so loathe to mention Wlad in the same sentence as Jones. Surely Wlad had as good a chin as Norris.
