As Lightweights, & over fifteen, rounds, how do you see this? I see a Chavez decision, myself. He was a beast at 135.
Mmmmm... I see where you're headed. Another Duran hater. Too bad Chavez wouldnt have beaten Palimino at 147, let alone Leonard. Duran>>>>> Chavez.
DeJesus & Buchanan are much better lightweights (or junior Lightweights) than anyone Chavez ever beat. I would personally regard De Jesus as a better fighter than Meldrik Taylor or Hector Camacho, too. I think De Jesus/Chavez is essentially a pick 'em.
DeJesus was a helluva techncian, and certainly had better firepower then Taylor, but he lacked Mel's handspeed and workrate which gave Chavez so much trouble. And also... Chavez was pretty damn AMAZING at 135. The only lightweights Ive ever seen who I'd favor over JCC at 135 are Whitaker, Duran, and MAYBE Carlos Ortiz.
