right hook is a very awkward punch to throw from an orthodox stance. It feels as though you're going to dislocate your shoulder and leaves you WIDE open. It is usually only thrown in combination with left hooks when a man is hurt and you're finishing him off...otherwise most fighters wouldn't attempt it.

looping right hand can be a good technique against south-paws. for example, JMM looped his right-hand well on Pacquiao.

watch a orthodox fighter throw a looping right hand and see how fundamentally different it is from a right-hook thrown by a south-paw. and then decide if it's smart to even call it a right-hook.

Hopkins right hook to flatten Tito was great, set up off the left uppercut.

That wasn't a right hook. You mean when he blocked a left hook with his right glove and then immediately threw the cross to take Tito out?

A right hook is a punch that arcs like a left hook does.

I just thought of a a pretty good one: Tim Witherspoon's can opener that usually landed on the ear or right behind it.

Riddick Bowe also had a good right hook.

I know it's more overhand in the Ecklund fight, but he threw it in a hooking motion. He had a really good right hook but it did not have textbook delivery.
