the same could have been said about morales. bruce trampler isnt a dumb guy. he knows how to pick the right foes for top rank's house guys to look good against. when morales somehow stumbled into a fight with a mediocre guy like zahir raheem he looked completely incompetent for the first time in his career.

 

Come on. Morales was done after that fight with Pacquiao. He was never the same. Besides, some guys aren't as effective moving up in weight.

However, I agree with everyone that Pacquiao only picks guys who look done to fight them. Granted, everyone knows Pacquiao would beat the crap out of Judah and even Cotto beat him. So I guess the logic is there is no point. No money in fighting Judah. Mosley isn't also a big money maker as well. The truth is that the money is fighting guys with big fan backing. Mosley or Judah don't qualify.

Cotto wasn't on the radar for Floyd when he moved up to 147...yet everyone wants to say he avoided him. Margarito with his slow plodding face first style would be destroyed (DIE as you put it) if he fought Floyd..yet people want to criticize Floyd for not fighting them. Pacquiao hasn't fought any of them. That's my only point. There are FOUR (not one) well known African American fighters in around the 147lb weight division that Pacquiao hasn't fought.

I don't know how much time pacquiao has, but certainly I think he's made the best financial moves with the opponents he's chosen. But his opponents are clearly past their prime or put in weight situations that helps diminish their capabilities. He start that with Morales and it's been working ever since.
