Bob Arum mentioned that he will make the rematch once Margarito heals. I hope the f@*er just plain retires. He doesn't deserve a rematch with Cotto or anybody else for that matter.

Also the Pacquiao-Margarito had less people attending than Pacman-Clottey!!!

Attendance was 41,734. That is about 9,000 less fans than the Pacquiao-Clottey event drew last March. Arum said Top Rank chose to not sell plaza tickets due to the fact there were regular seats still available and that stunted sales above 40,000. The Clottey fight drew almost 51,000 fans.

If this fight is made, Cotto had better either stop Margarito before the 8th or so or work on his stamina. Even with the beating Manny was putting on Margarito he was still coming forward until the end. I could see Cotto getting beat up just like the first fight. Wraps had nothing to do with Margarito walking through everything Cotto had.

Agreed... but I doubt Margarito will be the same after suffering a broken face.

Agreed! Cotto fought a dumb fight, he needs to stand his ground just like Mosley and Manny did. I think all Team Cotto has to do is study the Margarito vs Mosley fight. The blue print is there. Cotto has to find a way to rip the body and the fight is his.

Maybe so, but Cotto seems to slow way down in the late rounds and not just in the margarito fight.

I really don't want this fight to happen. Not just because Margarito doesn't deserve it, but because of the real possibility that he wins again.

Like mentioned before Cotto would have to stop him within 8 rounds or have better conditioning. I dont think Tony will ever be the same after the savage beating he took from both Pac and Mosley.

Margarito is 1 victory (against a journeyman) and two defeats (via savage beatings) in his last three fights. Why he deserves another shot at a title? Heck, he was trying to cheat again Saturday night. The muthaf@#*er is a total disgrace to the sport. Just send him back to Tijuana and don't let him fight anymore in the USA.

Margarito should retire or face some soft touches for a while. He's going to have permanent damage if he keeps fighting higher echelon guys like Pac, Mosley, and Cotto. Even if he were to win again, he'd have to take another beating to do it.

Personally I'd rather them both fight other people. I don't have much interest in a rematch. We need to get Berto into this mix so we can see what he has.

Cotto is too fragile. Margarito would walk him down and stop him every day of the week.

Not Only Does REED WANT to See this Fight, but if Cotto WINS, they Should OFFICIALLY CHANGE the Outcome of the 1st Fight to a "NO-CONTEST"...

Cotto Never Really TESTED Margarita to the Body, the 1st Time...If he Stays in the Pocket just Looooooooong Enough to Dish Out Some BODY PUNISHMENT, he'll Break Margarito Down & Stop him Late...It Won't B an EASY Fight, but Cotto CAN Win It....

Arum Tentatively Said it'd Happen in New York, During the Rican Weekend, when Cotto Typically Fights....

Fragile???...U Don't Think he'll B ANXIOUS to Get Some Payback???...LOGIC Tells Us that Margarita More than Likely CHEATED vs. Cotto, so there's Very Little Reason for Cotto to Come Into the RE Leery, Concerned or Mentally Fragile....

This AIN'T Roy vs. Tarver III...

If Cotto can't beat Margarita after Shane and Manny beat his ass he should think about retiring.

Cotto is by far the more talented fighter. Team Cotto needs to focus on the Margarito/Mosley fight. The blue print is there.

A little more clinching(he did almost none in the first fight)...some body punching(look at clinching)..and no backpedaling(did a lot) into the ropes should get Cotto the victory.

Cotto isn't tough at all. Margarito is tough as nails. 12 rounds is a long time...Cotto would undoubtedly eventually fold under the pressure...

So let's say, hypothetically, Roberto Duran had a chance at a rematch against Thomas Hearns AFTER Hearns' loss to Hagler...do you think it would have been helpful for Duran to "focus on the Hearns/Hagler fight. The blue print is there"?

Cotto cannot do what Mosley did.

Yeah I agree COTTO is FRAGILE...Fought Clottey with one workable eye...and when asked during the Pacquiao fight a bunch of times by his corner if he wanted them to stop the fight every single time he said NO...give me one more round...YEAH FRAGILE...

You being a Mayweather fight it might be hard for you to understand...sometimes you just have to fight the TOUGH fights can't run away from them forever. If you run, run and run at the end what you got? Nothing you will be remember because you got knockout by the tiny filipino, after running from him for 2 years... Sometimes you gotta pick on the bigger fighter Margarito/Martinez whoever. Even if their is a possibility of defeat...you got to fight. We can't all fight.

If Floyd didn't have courage he would have never fought De La Hoya. As a Floyd fan I was scared of that fight. I had always said that Stylewise (when you also factor in size, speed, power and chin) ..Oscar was teh guy to beat Floyd. I thought he was NUTS to put his undefeated record on the line and take on De La Hoya. But he did. De La Hoya was the bigger man.

    Anyway...

Cotto is fragile. He's easily hurt. He can't take a beating for too long. I knew that about him BEFORE he fought Margarito (I had picked Margarito to knock him out). This was exposed as early as the Corley fight. In a rematch, figuratively, Margarito would make Cotto swallow his DNA...
