Not only he is unable to walk, Ingo hits him twenty more times, even when his knee touches the canvas, and the ref actually counts to ten
"are you ok?" "are you ok?" no response end of fight rounds are three minutes for a reason... you dont get to win just because there's only two more seconds any more than if Liverpool were winning 2-1 with just 1 minute left in extra time and they said "hey, we cant run anymore, we are exhausted, so can you just blow the final whistle now and let us win the match?" Steele's job is to protect the fighter, he is not the timekeeper
:dunno: Not since Ronnie Reagan came bopping out to "born in the USA" has the point ever been more widely missed.:bangh:
well, the only other meaning to be derived from your post is that it is a play on "late" stoppage... you wallow in cuteness:shadow::kick: good call on Reagan and that song... I'd say probably half of the Springsteen fanatics on Earth made a similar miscalculation

The shot that hit Roy didn't look that hard. Agreed on the Williams one. There was no reason to even begin a acount there. Any time somebody falls face first without attempting to break their fall it's over.
Best example of that was Herol Graham vs Julian Jackson Graham was obviously out cold upon hitting the canvas (before hitting the canvas actually)...yet the ref still counted to 10.
This vid, if you watched it, is worse. The assistants are already trying to wake Machen up, and the ref still counts. I know, I wouldn't watch a B&W vid either
Did you watch the Griffith-Paret vid? BRUTAL! Paret was already unconscious on his feet and the ref let Griffith land a series of flush uppercuts one after the other and then a succession of sickening hooks. Paret died right there in that ring.
That's what they call progress in Sweden. Rather than keep boxing legal and use their position within the sport to advance and refine it, they ban it and pass the book off to other countries. Reckless dreamers.:shit::shit:
The name of the thread is "latest stoppage"....I think 11 rounds, 2 minutes and 58 seconds into a fight is pretty late.:scratcher:
I took that as a joke. Worked fine. I was more beseeching cdogg not to take us down that route again. ::
I didn't say otherwise.:TLC: cdogg has enough store credit around here to talk about what he likes in my book anyway, I withdraw my complaint.
Thats the EXACT same thing I think everytime I come on the forum. Apparently everyone on here has forgotten that ANY fighters exist outside of Manny, and Floyd.
ray leonard vs pete ranzany was bad. sim vs hatakeyama was bad, mercer morrison is probably the most well known. what that ref let garcia do to benton was downright criminal.
It's pretty funny actually. There are people hovering over the poor guy giving him mouth to mouth, punching his chest trying to revive a heartbeat, there is a priest in the corner giving the guy the last rites and etc meanwhile the referee is counting to ten.
