The Lang from the first Balboa fight stops Drago late, the one in the rematch gets killed against Drago.
Lang, at 237, got outboxed by a 191 lb. slugger with no defense. Drago TKO 2, then it turns to a no-contest after a positive roid test.
Lang was very easy to hit and considering how quickly Balboa took him out in the rematch I have to assume that Drago stops him early, allthough he wasn't much of a puncher either considering how many clean shots Balboa took from him. Even so, Drago KO4
:giggle: This is exactly how you and others tend to analyze actual matchups. You're assuming that the Lang of the rematch was inferior to the Lang of the first fight, just because he lost the rematch. Never occurred to you that perhaps the difference between the two fights was ROCKY and not LANG? I've seen this way of thinking over and over again around here. I remember Nando Vargas before he fought Trinidad. People were saying that when he fought Winky Wright he was off...but he changed it all for the quartey fight...and that the Nando of teh Quartey fight would take Tito but not the one of teh Wright fight. Never occurred to anyone that the difference between those two fights wasn't Vargas...it was Wright vs Quartey! Anyway... Drago knocks any version of Lang out!
