I watched it on a stream. I fell asleep and when I woke up in the 4th round Pac was beating the shit out of him. I fell asleep and woke up for the 11th and Pac was still beating the shit out of him. I fell back asleep and when I woke up at lunchtime on Sunday, Pac was still beating the shit out of him.
I couldnt say... some weeks I dont watch anything... others I'll watch 4 or 5 fights I used to watch 2 or 3 a day when I was younger The other night I watched Buddy McGirt/Simon Brown... great performance from McGirt in that one, Simon ran into one shot after another
I'll have to check that fight out. Which site do you watch your fights on? I watched whitaker/chavez last night. Prior to that i watched katsidis/marquez. Lately, in the past few weeks, i have watched 2/3 fights a week.
I used to have McGirt/Brown on VHS but its long gone... I saw it on youtube... pretty crappy upload, but you can still clearly see whats happening... McGirt really was brilliant, just beat Simon to the punch all night, gave him angles, busted him up something fierce
What i've rewatched lately: Tyson vs Berbick - The "lost" generation prime Tyson competed against may not be highly looked upon today, but heck, the likes of Tucker, Biggs, Berbick, would definitely do well against today's heavyweights. Quartey vs JL Lopez - After rewatching this fight, I imagined Margarito vs JL Lopez. Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Ndou - This fight was what made me a big fan of Floyd. I remember thinking this electrifying performance was no doubt just the first step to even greater, bolder things.
Jason Booth v Jamie Arthur - from saturday night recorded. A scrappy, messy fight. Heads clashing alot. Not great quality, but interesting.
it should've been the Barrera fight, but i'm guessing that due to a lack of Hispanic demographic, my FSN elected not to show the fight. I watched strike-force. Last boxing? FNF, which is consistently crap these days. Also, Time Warner has thrown ESPN Classic into a new package, such that I'd have to pay extra to get it. Fuck them !!! Fuckers !!!
Last night, I sat down with Arguello & Olivares. The best ever Nicaraguan against the best ever Mexican. A shame size & ring-wear were decisive issues.
Great fight! Olivares was clearly on the short end of size, but Arguello, on the short size of experience. As signature as it may have been a win for Arguello, it foreshadowed probably his biggest weakness which was the need to be set to be punch.
I watched James Toney-Tony Thornton a couple days ago. Not the greatest fight, but a better bout than the crowd was giving them credit for. Pretty solid skills being shown from them. While a lot of punches were thrown a lot landing, not many were landing with full impact due to the defensive skills of the fighters. Pulling back from punches and rolling with them to avoid the full force. It makes me think higher of Roy Jones's win over Tony Thornton. Thornton was nothing great or anything, but a solid pro fighter, and Roy made him look like a total scrub.
