If ever a 10-7 round was warranted in MMA, that 1st round was it. I scored it for Maynard by 1 point.

I knew it would be scored a draw because there is no way the judges would have the brain power to score the 1st round 10-7 or the final round 10-10.

All in all, it was a great fight. I think Maynard deserved the win simply because that first round was so big it should over shadow the 2 rounds Edgar clearly won.

I do take my hat off to Edgar for surviving and the improvements he has made in his game since the first fight with Maynard.

 

I agree that if you're ever going to score a round 10-7 Round 1 was it.

 

but what is a 10-7 round?

there is no set of rules to differientiate a 10-8 round and a 10-7.

i had it 47-47 with maynard getting first and third.

 

If anybody deserved the win it was Maynard.
