After a spectacular display of fistic fireworks this past weekend that saw Merciless Ray Mercer (36-7-1, 26 KO’s) defeat the monstrous Richel Hersisia (30-3, 24 KO’s) in Karlstad, Sweden, Mercer is ready to dust off another rising heavyweight star in David “The Hayemaker†Haye (21-1, 20 KO’s) as soon as possible. “I just defeated a fighter nearly thirteen years my junior,†said Mercer, “and I will school David Haye even more when we get in the ring.†http://fightbeat.com/news_details.php?NW=21817
This "Monstrous Richel Hersisia" was KTFOed by Audley Harrison couple of years back. Unless George Foreman's theory is correct and wide shoulders win fights, Hersisia has nothing at top-50 level. Agreed that beating Mercer (which Haye very probably would and in flashy style too) wouldn't mean a thing. Mercer is no kind of gate-keeper anymore, he is slow as hell and his once-granite chin is not there anymore. Haye's right cross would land at will. Of course it would be nice to see Haye at heavyweight if the heavyweight crown is the one he is intrested of
Wow, it took me a second to catch my breath. I'm just shocked Mercer won a fight. Amazing. How long had the guy he fought been dead?
After folding to Kimbo, Ray shouldn't even show his face around a boxing event, let alone fight in one.
hbo would not accept this fight. no way in hell. rahman, maskaev, ibragimov, mccline or barrett would easily suffice.
This is a joke of an article... Are you attempting to become more of a satire site now??? :notallthere:
I don't write this crap. That's why I stopped doing PR work. How can you sleep at night after writing this crap. Cupey
I think Rahman and MasKaev are too dangerous. McCline would work. A fight with Barrett would be very competitive. Let's not forget that Haye got lucky with Enzo. A true Enzo would have demolished Haye ::
