I think Forrest gives Floyd trouble with his physical advantages and deceptive speed (ala Mosley) before Floyd wins a 3-4 point decision (Floyd wouldn't get caught with anything crazy like Shane did).

Really tough to call. Mayweather is obviously a better all around fighter, but Forrest presents a really difficult style for him. (on paper anyway)

Forrest was very adept at keeping opponents at long distance with his height and jab. Mayweather doesn't have Mayorga's "all in style" so he'd have to fight an in and out type game. That's something Mosely wasn't able to do. Floyd is slicker than Shane, but also not as physically strong either.

I'd like to see Mayweather with some more quality opponents above 147. Especiallly against someone at least resembling the style of Forrest before attempting to guess at this one.

Forrest is too big for Floyd. He'd win this fight. In fact it wouldn't be competitive.

What makes you say that? People act as if Floyd can dance in the rain and not get wet. Vernon would probably be the most disciplined and fundamentally sound fighter he ever faced.

I'm not sure if there would be any knockdowns, or if the fight would ever evolve beyond a moderately-paced chess match. But at 147, I am sure that Vernon would win, and with room to spare.

You guys pass. Floyd is a great fighter make no mistake, but he is not a welter. I have always said Floyd will not lose ever unless he either is old and shot or moves up too high in weight and fights someone decent who is bigger or both. Vernon was decent. Forrest UD. Just like Oscar will do.

It wasn't a hard test to ace. Just check for Alabama_Man's opinion, and then post the opposite.

It's almost as fool-proof as picking against LOK's predictions

Floyd has never gotten caught with a clean monster shot in his career. Sure he's probably been touched hard half a dozen times his entire career but he's never been legitimately down where you said "Damn Floyd got caught", that itself should say something.

Bunch of Floyd haters in this thread, but I'll remember to bring back this thread when Floyd beats ODLH 10 rounds to 2. :dancingguy: B)
