FIGHTER of the Year? Takefumi Sakata, a lot of people won't like that pick but he beat Lorenzo Parra to win the title and avenged his loss to a very good Roberto Vasquez. At this point it's not even close IMO.

FIGHT of the Year? Rafael Marquez-Israel Vasquez

ROUND of the Year? Whatever round of JMM-MAB where JMM was beating MAB's ass then got dropped.

UPSET of the Year? Julio Cesar Garcia-Troy Browning

KO of the Year? Darnell Wilson-Emmanuel Nwodo, ridiculously brutal.

ROBBERY of the Year? Demetrius Hopkins-Steve Forbes
TRAINER of the Year? who cares

PROSPECT of the Year? Andre Berto I guess. Not great D but love his offense.

Some other candidates for Upset of the Year: Ramon Guevera KO4 Jorge Paez Jr.; Demetrice King KO4 Bermane Stiverne; Cliff Couser KO2 Monte Barrett

Joon - point taken, but damn Michael Sprott? and by KO? But what's funny is that I didn't initially claim Couser-Barrett for the same reason - it's Monte Barrett

Oh, I almost forgot about Harrison Cuello - Edgar Santana in the Upset/Year category. (IMDAZED will get the humor in that one).

Prospect of the 1/2 Year - How many years in a row can we keep calling Andre Berto a top prospect? seems like the type of category you should only win once, then be forced to move on.

So... I say either "JuanMa" Lopez or Devon Alexander.

who the fuck is edgar santana? I've never understood the hype. he never beat anyone noteworthy nor has looked impressive in any outings at those local ballroom shows.

was he some sort of an amateur standout? only cool thing i heard about him was that he was banging that mo shea chick.

damn, was he? I didn't know that.

There was nothing special about him. He was from NY, and had DiBella and a few other clowns singing his praises.

My favorite FB moment was when his manager (Ernesto Dallas) sent an e-mail to Zach, Carlos and I demanding that Kenneth's article be removed and replaced with a retraction after his gift win over Meachem Major earlier this year.

Ernesto insisted that Kenneth was overemphasizing on the opponent's shortcomings as a pro and neglecting to mention that he was once upon a time a major amateur standout, and that a fighter's record doesn't always tell the whole story, blah blah blah. After all of us ripped him one, he claimed that the article meant nothing, since Chamaco's "thousands" of fans don't bother reading internet articles anyway

Three months later, Santana picks up where he left off and gets stretched by an even worse scrub. No retractions required that night

But yeah, Stark getting got was kinda funny, considering how much he and DiBella were whining about allegedly getting robbed in his prior fight against Mike Oliver.

    Think Kauki Think

A WHITE AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT OLYMPIAN deserving mention for prospect of the year.

    That would be MAJOR NEWS.

Although it would be even bigger news, if it was a talented black heavyweight.

Pavlik does, Miranda can go back to the shack he grew up in. I know, it's a shit joke. :shit:

KO of the year- the pinoy one over Darchynian.

I haven't seen any great fights this year, because most of them were not on HBO or ESPN, which are the only fights that I get to see. The best ones that I saw were: Margarito/Williams, Judah/Cotto, Soto/Pacquiao (the brother), and Pavlik/Miranda.

Round of the year, Pavlik/Miranda round 2, but again, I didn't see the best fights.

If Cotto fights and beats Mosley/Margarito, the he will win it for sure. Or if PFB returns and beats Mosley, then he wil win.

    thanks, Baron.
