Which Fighters NEED to Make their Mark N 2008 or FOREVER Hold their Piece???...

Which Guys have THREATENED to Do this or that, yet HAVEN'T Done SHIT as of yet???...

An Example of what REED is Talking about is Antonio Margarito...Everybody Ducks him:rolleyes: , he's the ONE Welterweight that can NEVER Seem to Make a MEANINGFUL Fight, TURNS DOWN a Bout w/Cotto, LOSES his Title to Paul Williams & yet we STILL Have to Hear his Name Mentioned N the Welterweight Mix...

If Margarito FAILS to Make a DEFINITIVE SPLASH N 2008, REED NEVER Wants to Hear from this Cat OR his Fans Again...

What Other Fighters Fall Under this Criteria N your Opinion???

Thats a tough question. I can't think of anyone. In some sense I would say Witter needs to establish himself more but it's hard to criticise him because no one wants to fight him. I suppose DLH but it seems like he can do as he pleases.

Tarver! He's lived off of Roy's name for far too long. This year he better step up and fight Dawson, or go the hell away and hit the pipe!

Also it should be a telling year to find out the TRUE nature of Cintron. Is he a front running choker as most suspect, or can he prove us wrong and actually beat a legit 147 pounder.

Yeah, and it wasn't his fault the Diaconu fight fell through...or that the Tarver fight wasn't made.

Dawson's the opposite of the fighters who should be on this list...especially considering he's a young fighter (and could probably still fight below light heavyweight).

    .....

I am going to pick Bernard Hopkins. The guy beats Antonio Tarver for the supposed Light Heavyweight title in June of 2006. Since then he has defended his supposed title 1 time against a Middleweight and now has another fight coming up against a guy who is a career Super Middleweight. Is there some reason in 2 years since supposedly winning this mythical title that he don't fight Light heavyweights and only fights 1 time a year?

    That reason is Joe Calzaghe...

B-Hop, legend that he is, will be beaten on 19th April. No doubt whatsoever in my mind...

    I'll bet you 20 bucks.

nevermind, Vegas has hop at +235. I'll make 47 bucks more if I bet online.

it would probably be better for the division if Calzaghe won but I have my doubts. Hopkins is tricky, dirty, fight is in the US and Hopkins owns southpaws. So if Hopkins beats Calzaghe I am guessing we can expect a Hopkins-Calderon fight sometime in 2009. :shit:

You think either of them fights another light heavyweight after this fight?

The most likely fight I could see is Calzaghe fighting Woods if he wins.

I have to say Margarito. this year will be critical for his career. I like him, but he needs to stop crying and beat a world class fighter this year.

Chad Dawson! Sure he just won the title but some are considering him the best in the division. I say he proves it. He spent alot of time targeting Tarver God knows for what reason :dunno: Last I checked there are other champions in the division he could fight to prove himself. I could care less for him fighting TArver. What will that prove? :dunno:

Cintron! - The guy said that beating Matthyse should erase the Margarito loss. The guy is still a crapy fighter and has nothing but a punch. Some said he improved with Steward. I just don't see it. :dunno:

Ponce Deleon! The guy needs to rematch Caballero or the winner of VAzquez/Marquez this year. the guy needs to learn some type of fundamental skills

Yes...Amir Khan needs to stop fooling people with his bullshit and small opponents...I want to see him fight more power-punchers like Willie Limond and John Thaxton.

who do you think will beat him?

I don't think anybody at 135 or 130 will beat him. He would have to move up to 140 for that to happen.

Dzinziruk might be leaving Universum for that exact reason. First Universum postponed his defense against Konecny from November to January, but Dzinziruk allegedly pulled out, because his contract with Universum would be re-newned for another year, if he fought under their banner in 2008. I thought Karamzin would have made the perfect opponent to get his name out in America, but that option is dead now and I doubt Alcine, Spinks or Forrest have much interest in the bout, maybe if Daniel Santos wins the WBA belt they could have a rematch of their excellent 2005 bout.

As far as Erdei goes, he has admitted on live television, that he is happy fighting bums and making money.

Every German based fighter except Sidorenko, Povetkin and Gamboa has to do something in 2008.

Dzinduruk is a class fighter, he is a legitimate fighter. As opposed to Dimitrenko, the heavyweight, who is a joke and a fraud.

Pac might have a chance, but his management were smart. They waited until chico and castillo moved up to finally challenge other champs. He won´t be moving up anytime soon, he´s comfortable where he´s at. Hell, just by looking at his flabby midsection, he could even make 130 lbs if he wanted to.
