    I hope Di Caprio finally gets a long deserved Academy award.

    I'd love it if Will Smith doesn't even get nominated.

    Revenant will likely get Best Picture and Best Director.

    The trailer tells the whole story, but that what it was suppose to do. The movie is simple. But what Leo goes through in order to achieve the final outcome is beautiful. This movie was spectacular.

    I know he story behind the movie and I do believe DiCaprio will do a great role in this, as he is one of the most talented actors of his generation.

    To me, I'd like the best movie of the year to say something new or original instead of telling the same old mantra of how you must never give up and one person can do anything if he just wants it (which is bullshit)

    What will make this win best picture will actually be what the best actor and director did. Which is strange i know, but it all just connected so perfectly. The shots Iñárritu did were fucking insane. I dont even know how he got some of those shots. And leo just making you really feel the story just makes you understand that no other movie could win. I mean i sat next to my wife and we were in the back and i never seen many people cringe and look at way at so many parts in a movie. Everyone in the theater felt all the pain of that character, both physical and emotional.

    While it is watchable you need to park your brains the same way when you watch a Wolverine movie. Best movie of the year? Bullshit! It has an 81% in rottentomatoes (compared that to 97% rating for Mad Max: Fury Road). If you have never watched Richard Harris 1971 'Man In The Wilderness' you might enjoy this one more than I did. DiCaprio is good though.

    Well for Best Picture if these mofos keep their own rules of 10 nominated films (on two occasions they nominated less than 10 'cause they resisted nominating popular scifi superhero stuff) here are my selections:

    All the five Golden Globes nominees:

    Don't relay on that: Tom Hanks won back-to-back Oscars for 'Philadelphia' & 'Forrest Gump' and in a year were Hollywood embraced Caitlyn Jenner any actor portraying a tranny has an almost sure win in the bag.

    They did it again: they nominated only 8 films out their own rule of having 10 Best Picture candidates to give room to more popular, commercial films. Do they remember a film that opened on December to glowing reviews and audience approval? you know that little art film titled 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' which currently has 93% certified fresh rating versus Oscar's favorite 'The Revenant' that has only 81% rating at rottentomatoes? :pissed:

    And honestly, Hank's Oscar for the lame 'Philadelphia' was more about acceptance to gay roles and AIDS awareness than his actual performance, that while good, Denzel's was better and was not even recognized.
