Tyson with his hand and foot speed would always gives a lot of troubles to a guy like Ali who's defense was based on movements and reflexes.

Tyson would stop fighting after 12 rounds based on rules of 91, so either Ali wins in the 13th or gets disqualified.

But yeah, I pick Ali too. Prime Tyson would beat this Ali though

Well ali would win by late stoppage. 11th, 14th whatev. Mike would be ahead at the half way point but his physical and mental stamina would fail him. The trite/predictable prediction but definitely the right one in this case!

Word. In fact I'd pick 71 Ali over '86 to '88 Tyson as well. Ali would too tough to be stopped even by Tyson and Mike would get discouraged eventually when the punches keep coming at him. Would be a bloody exciting fight though

I disagree that young Tyson would fold. I think he'd fight to the end. 96 Tyson I agree tended to fold after 5 rounds.

Of all the match ups that would be dangerous for Ali, I think Tyson up there due to the hand speed and unpredictability.

I could see this one going either way. If anybody had the combination of speed and power to hurt Ali constantly, it was Mike.

When it comes to a prime Mike, and I'm a huuuuge fan of Tyson, but you can't discard the bone crusher and Tucker fights. If bonecrusher could tie him up and not allow him to work Ali could also. If Tucker could survive the fury a spoil the show, Ali could too. I don't see Tyson as being particularly dangerous for any any before 1974
