Just found this old message from a lad on bluekipper.net - an old EFC forum:

"I got in the ring having watched 'Rocky' the night before. I was
inspired, excited and pumped full of adrenalin. I was matched with a
lad about 2 years older than me but roughly the same height. He had
been boxing for a few months though, while I on the other hand was a
complete newcomer, riding on the wave of Rocky Blaboa's draw with
Apollo Creed. I was confident and optimistic, limbering up and having
my mate put my £2 plastic gum shield in my grid to look more
professional. I stepped out into the middle of the ring, touched
gloves and then proceeded to do a little boxing dance, with quick feet
and practice jabs. I encroached on my opponent's territory and he
proceeded to punch me full in the face with his actual fist. I was
rocked to my foundations, my whole head shuddered under the following
barrage of merciless and quite savage blows. I turned to run as he
rained blow after blow upon the back of my inexperienced stale
skinhead. He was ruthless, a real pugilistic expert, taking out his
furious anger and pent up frustrations upon my facial features. The
cúnt made a show of me in front of my mates. He wellied my upstairs
lights out and tried his best to send me to the canvas. I was like a
whippet trying to evade his dexterous haymakers but failing miserably
as my pinhead was smashed to smithereens. Príck."
