P4P doesnt make much sense for this matchup. In any case, Pryor beats Chavez clearly in a hard fought battle. Pryor wouldnt wear down like Taylor did.
Does Aaron get that special bottle Panama made up for him? If he does I'd definitely give the advantage.
Neither guy gets stopped here. And with Pryor's superior punchrate and close to equal chin and resolve.....Pryor by UD.
I could see it either way, but I do like JCC's accuracy here... its a ferocious fight, I can scarcely think of a better matchup
Right. I had it in mind that Chavez would make his shots count a little better, too. By chance, I saw one of his old opponents at a shopping center out here today --- Kostya Tszyu. Quite an outfit --- navy velvet from head-to-toe, & a satchel (what the unkind would call a man-purse). Not that anyone would say so to his face, mind :: I wonder who Kostya would take.
"Please do not be rude" would be his response, like with Jim Gray... then he'd drill ya with a right cross::
Very possible. Volume counts for a lot though. Pryor didn't pitter patter that much either. A big question is whether or not the Chavez accuracy and body assault could slow down Pryor. If it could, that's a huge edge to Julio. I could see it going either way and think this one of those matchups where there is no "wrong" answer. Like cdogg said it's hard to think of too many better fights.
I'd pick Pryor by close but clear decision. His punch output would be the deciding factor as he could probably make Chavez careful coming in. Chavez would rally late but I don't think it would be enough
That's the scenario i lean towards as well. However Pryor does leave a lot of openings that a hard accurate puncher like Chavez could feast on. It seems any advantage you provide to Chavez you can counter with an argument in favor of Pryor and vice versa. Somebody needs to get off their ass and build a time machine so we can see these fights.
