If Chad decides to fight Tarver in September he'll get stripped on the WBC belt, but if he wants to keep the title, he'll probably fight Diaconu in November.

Who do you guys see winning this fight? Power or finesse? :dunno:

why would he be stripped? All he has to do is agree to defend his title against Diaconu, but he has a year to take the actual fight

Will he avoid all that power for 36 minutes?

Ever since Mike Tyson came along, people scream at anything that resembles a squat little whirlwind with crisp hooks,.. but Diaconu isn't that big a puncher, his KO ratio is average, I think he was just in with the right sort of notoriously glass chinned opponent, and his workrate struck me as poor, he poses too much which might have actually added to the unveiling effects of his 'awesome power' since he landed succesfully in sporadic bursts, also those screaming idiots on ESPN help amplify the situation "VICIOUS BRUTAL BLOODY ROOOAAAARRR!!!"...that was over the top.

Dawson easily, wide decision or a late stoppage.

I think you're right. Diaconu is too crude and predictable to beat a guy like Dawson. Dawson will wait him and catch him with his superior handspeed and way straighter punches.

If Dawson is any good (and he seems to be), he ll beat Diaconu, whos average at best, pretty easily.
