I don't think that was an actual aikido master. His movement didn't look like aikido and they don't wear clothes like that in aikido. I used to train aikido for many years and while I totally admit that it is not very helpful if you are planning to fight, that didn't look like aikido

That Grandmaster looks like his teeth got punched down his throat...at least the way the others are acting afterwards.

that master had the thug right where he wanted him for about 2 seconds... in quantum units of time that is a lot of time so one could say the aiki master controlled a lot of the fight.

The aiki guy had the thug controlled for about half the fight. Prior to eating his teeth for dinner the Aiki guy was gesturing, using chi to ward off, etc. so at best it is a split decision. Did you catch the fear inthe thug's eye?

That was always my problem wih aikido: you aways knew how the other gy was going to "attack" and the attacker always knew how and where he was supposed to dive. So you could learn some useful moves in there but you need actual fighting training to be able to use them effectively

That's why he was a grand master. It proved a controlled classroom isn't the same as real life :jester:

Yep, and the guy was confident enough to bet 5 grand on himself. Also that mma fighter was a nobody. Far from a "grandmaster" in his own field. Imagine if that was Chuck Lidell throwing punches at him.

Wow Chuck Liddell could beat someone the age of my grandfather. Maybe it'll help his ego knowing he was beat up STANDING UP by a neanderthal in Rampage.

:jester: WTF. I'm happy that fraud got his mouth busted now.

I like how everyone comes to his defense though because he isn't 30. Master against purple, who wins and why :wavegoodbye:

How does the "Master" get beat? By a submission hold?:nono: Take down? :nono:Nah, a punch in the mouth :jester:

I have to seriously doubt that 200-0 record. He must be counting his own students as wins because that old dude was slower than molasses.

Here's the same fight from a different angle:

That old man was slower than any fighter I've ever seen. And he held his hands low while the other guy was punching him in the face
