Today's rating:

Alexa rating: FightBeat 20,231 Boxing 19,233
Global Reach FightBeat – 5% Boxingscene – 5%
Page views per visitors: FightBeat 5.5 Boxingscene 6.4

The word is spreading fast that Fightbeat is the place to be. We crushed Boxingtalk, Doghouseboxing, Boxingconfidential, Maxboxing. Eastside and Fightnews slipped past us.

I see the forums looked happening too. We have our MMA Blog kicking butt and we have a few more writers coming onboard.

So, OOPS We did it again. I hope that we can soon reach FightWorld's status and make it to the top 5 permanently.

We do need some more writers, so e-mail me at fightbeat@gmail.com

Also, expect another exciting radio show coming up.

Boxingscene has the best features IMO, but the posters on the forums are dumb. They're probably even dumber than the idiots over at eastside, and of the forums I've visited, only doghouse surpasses it in ignorance.

Fightbeat has the best forums in terms of people with boxing knowledge.

I have mixed feelings about Boxingscene.
Their videos are basically terrible and very amateurish, as the kids posing the questions don't seem to know much about boxing at all.
There are a couple of good writers there like Jake and Cliff, but that's about it.
I haven't been to the forums much, but they do appear to be pretty bad, and also the front page is way too crowded with way too much typing on it.
fightnews is the best for information, but the writing is terrible.

Karl, did you know that Campbell is there now so their video's will start changing for the better.

I disagree that B-Scene lacks good writers. Keith Idec is a very good writer. TK Stewart and David Greisman are solid. Katz is Katz of course. Ryan Songalia is good and only getting better. Cliff's not only a damn good writer, but also always offers a unique persepctive on any topic he covers - not to mention that he can cover ANY topic. (ditto for Ryan and Stewart for that matter)

Edit: other writers I forgot about, though part-time contributors: Patrick Kehoe, Tim Smith, Charles Jay, Mitch Abramson - all would rank at or close to the top of any other site as a full-time member.

I didn't know that, but it will be a definite step up from the junk that is on there now.

Ryan gets shitted on because he's young and carries himself the way he does. But when you sit down and read his articles (not the interviews, but actual articles), the kid's got talent.

If you list all of the ACTIVE FightBeat writers/contributors, I guarantee that when all is said and done I could plead a case for Ryan ranking in your top 5 if he were a memer,

Dude, if he has talent then Joony is Steve Kim. I've read his work and I'd prefer to spend my days digging irrigation trenches for $2 an hour than reading his work. It's just down right terrible. It's gramtically OK, but terrible.

Dude, who do you think sent him to boxingscene? He wanted to write for FightBeat and I said NO.

and there you go - a guaranteed spot in the Top 5

Seriously, Ryan used to be the way you said, but he was what 17, 18 when he started writing? He's a lot better than when he first started. But we can just agree to disagree.

The best I can say for Ryan is that he writes a lot. But that's where it ends.

But he's a good kid and misunderstood. I hung out with him a few times when he lived in NYC. He' got passion, but it isn't in his writing.

It's been a DOWN Period for Boxing ALL AROUND,Dog...

REED Interviewed an Up & Coming Crusier/Heavy Named Eric Fields & REED can Interview Luis Yanez Whenever...N the Case of Luis,REED is Waiting til just PRIOR to the U.S. Boxing Team Goes to the Olympics(Unless the Fightbeat Masses WANT to hear from him NOW??)...

Then there's Curtis Cokes,Paulie Ayala,Kirk Johnson, etc, who REED can Interview Whenever...

For Some Reason, MEANINGFUL Fights MOTIVATE REED to Produce Material...& Right Now we AIN'T Getting that...All the Cancellations/Postponements DON'T Help,Either...

But No Doubt, REED will DEFINITELY Write Again...& SOON...

REED'll Do Pre-Fight Pieces for ALL of the Upcoming Big Fights...

and just and FYI to everyone reading this stuff. I just post these numbers to poke fun at other people that I know read the boards. You know, the haters. These numbers mean absolutely fucking nothing. Who knows what they even mean. But regardless of what the numbers say I am proud of the small elite team and the hard work they have been putting in lately.

in my recent downtime (unemployed) I got to thinking about all of the things that made the site rise and fall. Without good leadership the place won't hold together. So if anybody was spurned or insulted in the past because of my actions I do apologize. FightBeat is family and I let a lot of people down in the past. So I'm hoping my new found commitment and discipline will encourage people to join the site and help us strive to our original goal, providing free quality content to our readers. I still think we are a top site, but we have a long way to get back to where we fell from. I'm not talking numbers, other things. But I do expect good things will come and I thank everyone for their patience as well as sticking it out with us.

Stop hating on him. Ryan's a good writer who will only get better. Not only that, he pumps out work at an incredible pace. Very consistent guy and a great addition to any site. You would love him if he was on here.
