I have a feeling this kid could be beast and a future star. As I previously said, he's a lot better at 21 than Shitnelo was.

Two weeks away from the Smith fight. I expect him to make beef stew outta Beefy inside of 6.

I'm in, I like the kid. Don't know if he'll become a superstar but he'll be enjoyable to watch, whatever level he reaches.

Not saying he does. Just saying he hits with the kind of consistent devastation one might expect from a fighter with a little something extra in his wraps.

Not to toot my own horn, but upon watching Youtube vids of Munguia, I stated he was gonna be too much for Ali.

Give Munguia some credit though... he didn't JUST beat Ali because he's bigger.

He's a much better fighter than Ali in general.

Munguia just has the "it" factor feeling about him. Maybe I'm overrating him, and we'll see how he handles Smith, but I don't think Hurd and Charlo would be locks to beat him.

Hurd gets hit A LOT... that might bite him in the ass against Munguia.

He’s got decent speed for his size and obviously heavy hands. He’s going to need a chin to deal with the top guys at 160 tho.

Need to clean it up a bit too wild(looping his punches) but if he has the prototypical mejican chin...:emoji_astonished: :emoji_left_facing_fist:

He's Mexican. Odds are in his favor that his chin is at least solid.

If Munguia destroys Smith, and Golov beats Clenelo in September, I have little doubt that Oscar will abandon the Ginger and attempt to make Munguia Golden Boy's main guy.

Shit, am I the ONLY one excited for this one?

Beefy is far from an elite fighter, but he's solid enough to give us a good indicated for how good Munguia is.

    "Excited" No, but Definitely CURIOUS...

It Took Canelo a Few Rounds to BREAK Smith...Munguia Finishing Him EARLIER Would Be Impressive For Sure...

    Valid Point...

REED Wouldn't Blame DeLa Either...Golden Boy DOESN'T Have the Depth of PBC or Top Rank in their Stable of Fighters...

There's No Doubt Canelo's Looking @ Mungia w/Simmering ENVY, Like a Middle Aged Housewive Eyeballiing Her Husband's HOT, YOUNG (Bigger Tits) Secretary...

Canelo Needs a CLEAR Win in September...But Even Then, There's Really NOWHERE to Hide Anymore from '54-'60...Win, Lose or Draw vs. Triple G, Fans WON'T Allow Canelo a Khan-Smith-Chavez Jr Triumverate Ever Again...Not as Looooooooooooong as He's Presenting Himself as Boxing's MARQUEE Fighter, Anyways...

Robert Alcazar is in Munguia's Corner...Clearly, he's a VALUED Commodity by GBP...

Smith is just tough, nothing more. I'd expect any world class fighter to have their way with him.

I hate Oscar, but Golden Boy's future post-Canelo is looking pretty bright between Munguia, Vergil Ortiz, and Ryan Garcia.

It remains to be seen how good Garcia will actually be, but he's popular and will generate $$$$ for Oscar.

Which is exactly what Saturday is about.

Basically a litmus test to measure him against Canelo.

Smith went 9 with Canelo. And it's not like Canelo dominated every single second... Smith did have his moments.

So if Munguia can beat Smith earlier and easier, it does say something.

I think the WORST case scenario is Smith gives him a tough fight.

For the life of me, I can't see how Liam actually wins.

Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles can see that there's a big talent disparity here.

My hunch tells me that Munguia would beat Jermell Charlo. Jermall is a different story, as I hold him in much higher regard than his brother.

Of course, Smith could make me look like an idiot on Saturday, but stylistically, I see Munguia as a problem for Jermell.

BTW Neil - even in destroying a bum, it's easy to see a high level of talent in a guy.

Ali isn't a "bum" btw. He's a "decent" fighter with a shit chin. Nothing more, nothing less.

You seem sold on the talent of Teofimo Lopez, and Sadam Ali is Ray Leonard compared to the Brazilian bum Lopez dispatched of.

Ali's paper chin aside, Munguia wrecked him in highly impressive fashion.
