The fight should happen early next year. Right now Khan should be trying to fight a Julio Diaz type guy.

Amir Khan is not a bad fighter, his last couple of fights have proved me wrong. He's not all hype job, he can fight a bit.

Right now though, Campbell would beat the shit out of him.

 No, he doesn't. How about starting with Thaxton or Romanov?

I think Khan matches up better with Campbell than he did with Juan Diaz. I'd pick him over Campbell if they fought right now. I expect Khan will be the favorite if they do fight at the end of this year, although I'd guess he'd be the underdog if they fought in a few months.

you are right, style wise Campbell is a better fight for Khan....i am far convinced that Khan can take a decent shot from an ok puncher, let alone Nate Campbell....Khan is the quicker and more talented though....

Khan cleary has little patience during his route to the top, and i think he is still a couple of stiff tests away from being ready....

    Based on what?

I've seen every single one of Amir's pro fights to date and couldn't for the life of me see him beating either Diaz or Nate any time in the next 18 months.

So far as I can tell, he has quick hands and his stamina is fine. He can bang a bit against poor defensive fighters. And, right now, that's about it.

What he DEFINITELY is, though, is chinny as fuck. He keeps dropping his left hand and inviting people to smash him in the face, which is a very bad idea considering that he can't really take that much of a shot. The utterly feather fisted Willie Limond had him ready to go when they fought and Amir only survived and went on to win because Limond has limited power and is no better than a limited domestic guy.

Even St Clair, who came with no game plan beyond survival for a paycheck, managed to catch Amir almost every time he threw a right cross. Luckily for all concerned, St Clair has no power. Neither does Kristiansen, who Khan fights next.

Nate would land at will and with authority if he fought Amir tomorrow. IMO, at this stage it wouldn't be far from a mismatch.

My guess is that this fight NEVER happens. In a TRILLION years. You think warren wants to risk another of his chinny guys after Enzo's chin was so ruthlessly exposed only last week?

Based on Khan being far more talented and Campbell being so inconsistent.

Sure, I could see Khan getting stopped because of his questionable chin, but Nate has been stopped by worse, too.

Doesn't really matter because I can't back this up (because they won't be fighting each other next). What I expect to happen is that Campbell won't look very good in his next fight, Khan will looked "greatly improved" and if they fight, Khan will be the favorite.

khan is krap, campbell will sodomize him, no way khan is tougher than diaz.

Khan will always look 'greatly improved'. This is because he fights feather fisted bums/has beens.

Khan has never been anywhere near a ring with anyone as good as either Diaz or Campbell. Even Campbell on one of his bad, inconsistent nights would be better than anything Amir has faced to date.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not writing Amir off yet, Not by a long shot. But he is a long, long way from being anywhere near this sort of level. He remains completely unproven.

mIKE knows boxing, but comes out with some very strange predictions.

He reminds me of Dubblechin in that regard, who famously touted Audley Harrison as the next elite superstar heavyweight.

    Maybe he is actually Dubblechin.

Actually I don't think I do. Many times people are suspicious of people beign "aliases" of other people etc, but the thought very rarely crosses my mind. Partly because it's not something I can identify with, I've never posted somewhere with dual usernames.

The more ITV and Warren rave about Amir Khan - the bigger the fall.

He's the only British fighter I'd willingly see ICED, just to see and hear the reactions of Rosenthal, Rawling, McKenzie, Woodhall and those other hideous ITV sycophants.

Lest we forget- his performance against the utterly disinterested St Claire was 'perfection', 'a masterclass' and 'Sugar Ray Leonard-esque'

It's hard to want a prospect to flourish with this sort of pure shite being spouted. Even for a completely Pro-UK fight fan like me.

You're a good man feebs :bears:

Since moving back from England from Spain, I am far more pro British, and feel very English.

Before however, I used to want to see almost every British fighter iced for that exact reason.

The British boxing broadcasters are absolutely pathetic, as are a lot of the fans. So utterly clueless, sycophantic, ignorant, and outright full of bullshit. It's professional nuthugging at it's most detestable.

It's funny, because I find Americans more annoyingly patriotic in general, but somehow when it comes to boxing, a lot of the American broadcasters and fans are more objective, and less nuthugging.

Rosenthal and McKenzie are awful but I don't mind Woodhall and to a lesser extent Rawling....I think Warren will guide Khan fairly carefully and its probably for the best because he's pretty fragile...I wonder whether he's ever become a real crossover star however because he's pretty lacking in wit or charm, which is likely due to his being as thick as shit
