[IMG]LAS VEGAS – The rematch is happening.

At Saturday night's UFC 143 post-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White confirmed that both UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva (31-4 MMA, 14-0 UFC) and his nemesis Chael Sonnen (27-11-1 MMA, 6-4 UFC) have verbally agreed to meet in Brazil on an as-yet-undetermined date in June.

Silva was in Las Vegas for Saturday's fight card, and White said an agreement was reached during the event.

Bout agreements are expected to be finalized shortly.

Sonnen, of course, had stated he didn't believe Silva would ever fight him again following the pair's memorable UFC 117 matchup, in which the challenger dominated for four-and-a-half rounds before relenting to the champ. Since that fight, Sonnen has alternated between campaigning for a rematch and dismissing the need for one.

White, however, said the likelihood of the rematch was never in doubt.

"Chael's full of [expletive]," White said. "You guys need to stop listening to Chael."

Silva has remained mostly silent on Sonnen, citing his desire to let the victory speak for itself and his unwillingness to lend any more spotlight to the trashtalking extraordinaire that is his current nemesis.

Earlier this month, White confirmed that Sao Paulo was the most likely Brazilian city to host the June event, which is also expected to feature Vitor Belfort vs. Wanderlei Silva and the final bout of the first-ever "The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil" tournament.

However, White said a venue has yet to be determined.

I don't like Sonnen's chances of leaving Brazil alive if he beats Silva.

Really? Silva learned how to stop the power double in the last year?

Doubtful. It's still a tough fight. I like Silva to win but it won't be easy.

So you think it didn't benifit Sonnen to be 6 times the normal testosterone level? Silva was injured also.

Yes, Sonnen is a cheater and it helped.

But Silva has never faced a good MMA wrestler other than Sonnen. It showed. He was helpless against Sonnen's take downs. That might change slightly in the rematch but I doubt Silva suddenly looks like Jose Aldo in stuffing take downs.

Regarding Silva's rib injury, I am sure it was real going into the fight since it became a big deal after the fight. But I just don't think it changes Silva's ability to stop Sonnen's wrestling. It's just a skill set that Silva doesn't have.

Personally I don't think this fight comes off as scheduled in Brazil. Despite Dana's comments otherwise, I think there is some truth to Sonnen's talk about Silva avoiding the rematch. Silva knows Sonnen is a difficult style match-up.

I just think it's a tough fight for Silva everytime. Silva certainly has the ability to end it quickly but he has an equal chance of getting dragged into another extended dog fight.

By the way, I hate freaking drug cheaters so I hope Silva absolutely punishes Sonnen in front of 25,000 crazy Brazilians. I would love to see a Chavez-Haugen type fight.

So you think it's ok to abuse TRT? For one, a guy who is 30 shouldn't need this period. If he does, it's because he uses steroids.

Can i tell you something Z. I am 30 and have never taken steriods and my Testosterone has been dropping every years since the age of 23. My doctor has recommended replacement therapy for 3 years now. This has also happened to my father and my brother. I still havent decided to do it.

I just dont know enough about the Sonnen Situation to say he doesnt need it. And it's my understanding once you stop, you cant stop taking it (dont know for sure), so i cant imagine Sonnen isnt still doing it.

I have been doing Judo Tournaments for over 20 years, since i was a child. My training was the same. So i know my body. About 7 years ago, i started feinting, feeling tired, actually falling asleep sometimes in the middle of the day. My Father told me to get checked and sure enough they were low and started decreasing. because i mostly ate chicken breast for lunch and dinner every fucking day, i wasnt getting enough Zinc. I started changing my diet which helped these past few years, but they still arent as high as i would like. We will see what happens.

Feinting is scary. It happened to me once when I was sick and really dehydrated, I hope it never happens to me again.

To me it doesn't matter with Sonnen. Even if he does have an issue with low testosterone, it's still cheating.

If his body doesn't produce the required levels, then he probably shouldn't be a pro athlete.

He just needs to be able to take enough to reach the normal levels.

The first fight was a fluke. Anderson had broken ribs and Chael was juicing. Silva will destroy him this time. He could barely beat Bisping for Gods sake.

injured. You could see him wince in pain a couple times in the fight because his rib hurt. You don't think that would have an effect on fighting off your back?

I think his rib injury was bullshit to be honest. Anderson knows his weeknesses. He Knows Chael can be very effective against him and beat him. Let's be clear. Chael wasnt the lucky one that night Silva was. Silva is lucky he pulled that submission off because he was on his way to a loss. He knew this was a possiblity prior to the fight. I think he made up the rib excuse in order to justify a loss, should it happen. I also think he doesnt want to fight Chael again in Brazil.

    Yep...

Why is it so hard for people to believe that Silva just doesn't have good take down defense?

It's really that simple. You have Sonnen, who has one of the highest successful take down percentages in the UFC against a guy that really hasn't fought any great wrestlers aside from Sonnen.

But Sonnen also isn't a finisher which mean he still has to be in the cage for 25 minutes with Silva. That's a real tough task. I still like Silva to win.

Nah, Chael will find a submission to fall into. He always does.
