I'm serious. It could be fun. Silva is obviously the far superior, more versatile, and more experienced fighter - but he would be giving up 65 pounds or so. That's quite a lot. Kimbo is clearly the superior puncher too. I would pick Silva by first round KO, but Kimbo should get a few licks in before being Spidered.
Silva would have to Practically RUN for the 1st 2 Rounds, to TIRE Kimbo Out... Obviously, Silva SHITS on Kimbo in Terms of TALENT, but the Size & Strength Edge would B HUGE... They have Weight Classes for a REASON, Mex... REED::
You really think he's stand that much of a chance against Silva REED? Kimbo is the significantly bigger man, and he is a much better puncher, and by that I even mean punching technique. However, the gulf in talent and experience would be huge. Someone else referenced Roy - Ruiz. The gulf in ability would be similar to that, and we saw that the ability overcame the size differential.
jesus Silva has a serious muay Thai background as a striker - Kimbo has a parking lot background... better tecnique my ass...
Kimbo learnt to box in prison, and his PUNCHING technique is surprisingly good. Better than I gave him credit for before. His punches are short, quick, compact and accurate. It's not even debatable, Silva is the more skilled fighter and the more versatile and experienced fighter, but Kimbo is a better puncher end of story. Silva's punching technique is nothing special at all. Fairly typical for a good MMA fighter. I'm more impressed with his knees and kicks.
The best thing about Silva's hands is that they are pretty accurate, especially for an MMA guy. His bread and butter are definitely his knees and to a slightly lesser extent his kicks...
just dont see that version of the word used much in american english....comes off sounding funny, but I acknowledge that the brits use this version much more
