Nathan looks like the only guy capable of giving Ward a run for his money after Andre dismantled the wide open and very flawed Chad Dawson. It's easy to dismiss Cleverly's chances here, but the favorite does not always win, and the more highly skilled fighter does not always win, that's called boxing and that's why they "Fight the fight", folks. A real tough fight here, and Ward is not going to be able to relax, steer and pop this guy around like he has done with the others as he will be under a great deal of pressure and getting hit from a very well-conditioned and confident fighter in Cleverly. Move it on up and take on Nathan, Andre!
Nobody knows who Cleverly is. I seriously doubt Ward cares to fight this guy. It's not making Ward any money that's for sure.
Not sure Stinger.. he fought Tony Quigley in 06 on the Crapsaggy undercard and stopped him in like 4 or 5 rounds i think.. but Quigley even though it was his first loss.. IMO was somewhat weak. these guys that come up with all these different Euro titles are usually kinda soft. Ward would be like nothing he has ever seen
Cleverly is OK, he's also quite tall, angular yet not quite the "stand up" sort of fighter. He's probably a bit routine to beat Ward but he'd do a lot better than Dawson.
I'd be surprised if he won more than a round, to be honest. He's not a scrub, but he's simply not very good either. Through size and range alone he would probably win a round, and perhaps be less dominated than Doorson, but that's about it.
