Another pointless 'woke' remake. It is an insult to Anne Rice to tag her name in what it is obviously a reinterpretation of her book just to push more 'diverse cast' roles. Heck they HAD to change Louis whole background and time period as in the book (and in the movie) he was a white plantation owner with slaves. It's hard to put a brother in that scenario, right?

I'm sure Anne Rice doesn't mind her work going WOKE....at least not as much as you do.

Anne Rice had a complete change of heart on the last few years of her life and embraced Christianity. But for "Interview with the Vampire" she had done a LOT of research on New Orleans life during the time period of the plantation owners, plus she based the little vampire girl on her own deceased daughter. I highly doubt she would have appreciated those changes made to her book.
