Simply a victim of progress. And it is progress. My first copy was in 1997, Briggs vs Foreman was on the cover and it was my first exposure to journalism. I tried to pick it up as often as possible thereafter and was a regular purchaser for the next 13 years. A lot of the people who advertized in it also went kaput. People who sold replica belts {???} , personalized registrations, fights on tape, all the old geezers selling rings, gloves, you name it, all went Smacko or went digital with their wares. It's amazing that the magazine lasted as long in the digital age that it has. It was really well put together and didn't always agree with what they wrote- they had great photos and writing which was essential for anyone who didn't have digital TV back in the day.
