Cervantes was a killer in there, too much reach and power for Taylor. Taylor would do well early on, but the strength of Pambele would overpower and stop him, I assume this is for 15 rounds which was the only distance Pambele ever fought for a title.
Cervantes was pretty methodical... Describing him as a killer is rather odd, frankly. Taylor would definitely trouble him with all of that speed but I like cervantes to neutralize that a bit with his fine jab... I think comes down to cervantes quality winning out over taylor's quantity
Perhaps. But it took Chavez 11 rounds, 2 mins and 58 secs to do that to an undefeated taylor. And Taylor was getting hit with everything in the book (judging by the state of his face).
And Cervantes was a bigger puncher than Chavez, with considerably more height and reach, and a diff style.
