Estrada is a pretty skilled fighter. Obviously the best fighter Berto has ever thought. Anybody taking the upset?
I'm not sure if Estrada can take it that far, but I've gone on record to suggest that this might turn out to be a replay of Grant-Golota. Estrada's tough enough to take Berto into the deep waters, but not sure if he punches hard (or precise) enough to drown him.
Estrada will give Berto a tough hard fight..the same way Cosme did the in his last fight...good step up fight for Berto...
You have to pick Berto to win because he's younger, fresher, quicker and hits harder...but it doesn't take a genius to see that Andre has a very suspect set of whiskers and it wouldn't take a real banger to put him down and out. Especially if you're aggressive and can put your punches together. Estrada can do both and is a live opponent in this fight.
I am going with Estrada on this one. I don't think Berto has a suspect chin, but he did get caught with an uppercut he didn't see coming, I pick Estrada to outbox Berto using the height and reach.
I've got next to no oubt that Berto's chin is suspect. Not only does he not react well to being hit, word was that in the ammy's he had all kinds of trouble and on a few occasions. It didnt suprise me to hear that.
It's good matchmaking....Estrada is that kind of gatekeeper sort of fighter that you usually find in each weight class.....better than most but can't quite cut it at the top.....if Berto ain't the real deal, and i am not convinced that he is, Estrada could be the one to find him out.....put it this way, if Berto blows him out i'd be impressed
I've seen the Cintron, Mosley and Suleyman fights. If Estrada wants to win he will fight from the outside, he brawls with Berto and he would have to repeatedly beat Andre to the punch, and that remains to be seen
The dude's got his chin in the air - and I mean way in the air - when he launches his all-out attacks. And at his height, he's prime candidate for an uppercut...hence the KD. I was never quite as high on him as many others were/are....I love how he puts his all into every shot and I like his combos, but he is so intent on offense that he squares up and leave his chin in the air -- and will gas in late rounds because he is "forcing" his punches. Should be a great fight and will tell us much about Berto. Peace.
..... Berto could be better. He should use his jab more. He has a very good jab but gets to carried away with power shots. he should use his jab more to set up his other shots.
IMO Berto is small for ww, not that Estrada is much bigger, but David did fight a guy very similar to Berto in Chris Smith and stopped him late, Berto appears to hit harder but all in all this fight is one that I am looking forward to.
Well Said... We can ALL Visualize a Scenario where Estrada UPSETS Berto Outright (by Decision OR KO) or TROUBLES him a Great Deal, en Route to LOSING a Close Fight... The Most UNLIKELY Scenario is Berto BLOWING OUT Estrada, Cause NOBODY has Done that...This Cat was HANGING w/Sugar Shane & Cintron & it's NOT like he's OLD...The Only Real "Beating" he's Taken was from Cintron, that REED has Seen... Like U Said, if Berto DECISIVELY Beats Estrada, that's an IMPRESSIVE Win, No Doubt about it... REED
