it's not fair, though, to discredit Pacquiao's win, just because he had such an easy time with him in the first fight. don't forget, MAB fought well against JMM.

pacquiao will lose next time he fights a good fighter who's in his prime.

humberto soto, joan guzman, edwin valero, or jorge linares...any of them would suffice to accomplish the task.

well, you certainly can't make this statement based on any actual events. is this a hunch you have?

i wouldnt say i'm certain, but i'd be far from surprised if it were to happen.

pacquiao is coasting. i'm curious to see how he'll look against any of the guys i mentioned. chances are, he'll bitch out and call it quits after a few more soft tune-ups ruining any chances of those fights happening.

Of that list, I'd give Soto the best chance of pulling it off. Though I have to say, I was surprised to see how easy, at times, it was for Manny's brother to catch him AND hurt him. Maybe it's because Humberto was overzealous in looking to finish him off. Still, kinda suggested that if matched against the right guy, he can eventually get got.

I'm a Guzman apologist, but have to admit that the longer it takes for a marquee fight to happen, the less chance I give him of winning. Dude was once upon a time a beast but for whatever reason has been content with playing to the crowd, taunting, and seemingly disinterested in even trying to score stoppages these days.

Factor that in with inactivity, and constant struggles to make weight (no matter what division he campaigns at, it seems), and he's destined for a letdown, perhaps sooner than later. In fact, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about his chances on November 17.

I can see Valero dropping Pacquiao, even early, but not sure he finishes him off once Plan A no longer works.

I like Linares, but think he's a couple of years from being ready for the top level.

i agree about guzman. im actually leaning towards soto beat outpoint him.

if/when soto beats him, he'll play the role of a featherweight margarito to manny's floyd mayweather. that is, of course unless the fight actually comes to fruition unlike floyd-margarito.

linares may be too young, but right now i think he beats chris john or anyone else at 126.

    valero would crush pac imo.

It depends on what version of Valero is floating out there. If it's teh guy I saw in the training videos a few years back, I agree. he beats the snot of of Manny.

Valero is garbage, Pacquiao destroys him. I can't believe that guy has so many people who think he is good (on a world class level).

i spoke to his dad Doug Fischer when i was in vegas earlier this year. he would go on about how valero hardly trains and that he has regressed so much, yet when we were talking about who would win between marquez and valero, fischer said something like 'marquez COULD win, but i would certainly make Valero a favorite'.

I had 1k on Mosquera to beat Valero. That don't matter though. If I hated guys because I lost money betting on or against them I would hate Pacquiao. I lost 10k on Morales in the 2nd Pacquiao fight.

Did Valero get a time out for people throwing stuff into the ring or not? Where the fight was held is irrelevant when we both know the answer is yes. The dumbass crowd.

bottom line, valero fought in front of a hostile crowd, survived a FLASH knockdown and resumed his relentless beating until the stoppage.

    valero was clearly superior.

why do you hate the guy? he's fast, punches hard, and is fun to watch. he might be flawed, but he's kinda like Pacquiao in a way except he doesn't have the bitch drama queen complex that of pacquiao's.

I agree on Linares, but that says more about the lack of talent left @ 126 more than anything else. Still, he looks like the truth and should rule at the weight for as long as he can make it.

He's not that fast and he is ugly to watch. Sloppy garbage. Also, there was nothing flash about that KD, Valero was hurt. He was hurt a few times in the first few rounds. Just ask yourself, if that was a puncher in there would Valero still have made it through 3 rounds? The answer is no. He is hyped up for a guy with such an ugly ass style that is just asking to be exposed.

Soto got his ass kicked 5 times yet some like you claim he is the future of the 130 division for no reason.

A shot kelly beat his ass yet he is supposed to be the dark horse at 130:dunno:

At least Valero won a tittle and is still undefeated. Normally fighters with a record like that are at the top of the division.

but mostly his style is why people wanna see him against Pacquiao. Hopefully Valero loses his next fight and can land a fight with manila ice.
