Not that these are two top tier fighters, but both appeared to have some potential coming off of season 1 of TUF. Bonnar has been on a downward slop of late, having lost to Rashaad Evans, and coming up with a questionable (at best) win over Keith Jardine. Griffin lost a controversial dec to Tito Ortiz. He didnt do anything to hurt his stock in that fight, but it doesnt say a ton about him that he couldnt really test what was reported to be an injured Ortiz. Based on the first fight, I think it'll still draw some viewers, even if the fighters arent billed as championship caliber.

This is gonna be on an Ultimate Fight Night Live or something, right? And not PPV, because this better not be a headliner.

Forrest Griffin couldn't "test" Ortiz? Considering alot of people thought Griffin won that fight; I fail to see what you're on about, brother Hooks.

I too thought he won, and was wondering where Hooks was coming from. But I think he's focusing on the point the Ortiz was rumored to be injured, and Forrest couldn't get a clear win. Can't say I agree with the notion, but that is how I made sense of it.

I dunno, maybe alot of people out there are underrated Tito Ortiz or something; but why anyone thought Forrest Griffin was good enough to beat him clearly or whatever, is beyond me. Ortiz was a former elite fighter and is still young, just a little rusty.

Griffin is simply an exciting, tough, brave fighter with a good wrestling base and some decent hands. Tito Ortiz has the far higher upside and can still make it back to the top of 205. Griffin never could.

He didnt test him....at no point in that fight was Ortiz in trouble.....It was nothing more than glorified sparring past the first round

I thought Ortiz would run through, so I was surprised that Forrest hung in there, but I dont think he really "TESTED" Tito. It was a close fight, but we know that wasnt the best of Tito.

I thought Tito won, 10-8 the first round, 9-10 round 2, 10-9 round 3....at worst Tito got the draw.

I thought Tito won...but then again, the last round is open for debate, IMO.

10-8 definitely for the first though.

I had it for Forrest. A draw at best for Tito.

    Rd 1, Tito 10-9
    Rd 2, Forrest 10-9
    Rd 3, Forrest 10-9

Yea I have it on DVR, watched it recently. That's why I said I could have settled for a draw, but in no way could I have given the fight to Tito.

Come on big bro, the only SURE fire round to score in that fight was 10-8 Ortiz in round one.....The other rounds neither fighter deserved to get a 10.....

I really HATE the UFC scoring system
