Yes, but... Arguello wasn't like many tall fighters that looked to keep you at a distance. He was very comfortable using his jab to let you slip it and move into other punches. He used an effective left uppercut, a hook to the body and that withering right uppercut to the body. Fenech is going to get hit a lot, and hit hard, to the body coming in. If that makes him hesitate and stand up straight on the outside, he is going to start getting hit with right hands and surviving that would be very difficult. But even if Fenech gets close he does something that could prove problematic for him. When he got close he often squared up and fired both hand, turning his shoulders but keeping himself square to his target. Against Arguello, while doing this, he would get hit flush with a left hook. At least one. Arguello had such a great right hand that his hook gets overlooked. But it was a serious weapon and was capable of thoroughly fucking your monkey. If Fenech got in close with Arguello and squared up he would be placing his primate in a promiscuous situation.
