P4P Gatti beats him. Mayorga's power is overrated so on a P4P scale Gatti would take his shots and either beat him by outboxing the no skilled bum, or out brawling him.
Mayorga's two wins over Forrest surpass anything Gatti ever accomplished in his patheticly overrated career, AND Mayorga woulda beaten the shit outta Gatti. P4P or at 147.
When the post asks who accomplished more in their patheticly overrated careers, then you can make that argument, otherwise make a better argument then "Mayorga woulda beaten the shit outta Gatti". At least I broke down the reasons why Gatti wins. P4P Gatti is better, at 147 Mayorga would likely be too strong for him. Didn't Gatti start at 135? At least Gatti punches correctly and knows what a jab is. P4P he'd outbox Mayorga easily.
I really dont care to give a break-down of a matchup where two bums are fighting. Mayorga in his brief 3 fight prime was a tough, stronger, more durable, and better fighter than Gatti ever was and he would have beaten Arturo to a pulp.
And he proved this when? The one time he looked that part? In the 1st Forrest fight? He can't even box, and Gatti would easily just outbox him. Plus Gatti is very durable himself.
If Vernon Forrest couldn't outbox Mayorga and Cory Spinks did it barely, no way Gatti will be able to
Mayorga would kill that scrub. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot. Like someone mentioned early. Vernon Forrest was a pretty damn good boxer, and Mayorga walked right thru his shots. Gatti loved to trade punches, well he had no choice since he had no defense. It's not like he would have fought a smart fight, espeically in his prime. Gatti's power is overrated anyway, and he cuts easily as well.
Your just mad, cause Mayorga beat the man who had your boy screaming like bitch in the ring twice. Get over it.
The first time was a fluke. I don't know why but Mayorga was like a fucking terminator in that first fight. The 2nd fight was more closer to the Mayorga we've come to know and hate. Forrest did outbox Mayorga in the 2nd half of the fight after getting a little confidence.
Fluke? Vernon got wrecked. The second fight was alot closer, but Mayorga was more agressive, and got the decision.
Yeah, it was a fluke. Mayorga has never looked that fucking indestructible since. In fact you watch that fight and then watch any other of his fights and you'll see the difference is as big as night and day. Hell even in the rematch Mayorga wasn't walking through Forrests shots like he did in the 1st.
