Actually sly, I'm hearing that it is someone besides Loki. Loki will be in it, but there's apparently a bigger bad guy.
Cool. The trailer certainly makes it look lke it's Loki causing all the trouble though. A bigger bad guy brought in by Loki perhaps?
This bigger bad guy might be brought in by Loki, but my guess is he's after the cosmic cube. He's well-known in the comics for being one of the biggest threats ever. The trailer certainly makes it look like Loki is the threat, but I'm hearing rumblings from others that it might be Thanos.
I don't know much about Thanos but heard the name before and I'm under the impression (before investigating on Wiki) that he's a being on the level of Galactus or something. Is that right?
Well if he surpasses Galactus and easily...no amount of Avengers could possibly defeat him. Shit you could add the Xmen and the brotherhoood of evil mutants to the Avengers and they'd still have no chance. ::
If it's the villain I'm thinking of, he usually defeats himself on some level---although I can't see them allowing that in the movie.
That actually happened in the comics. Thanos had the Infinity Gauntlet and was just laying waste to everyone. He was killing avengers, X-men, and other villians.
well done for getting the cast from each of the individual movies - would have been crappy without. likely problem with this is that there won't be enough heart in a team movie. the superhero movies have mostly succeeded when the audience's sympathies resonate with the protagonist - tobey maguire as spiderman, keaton and bale as batman, downey jr as iron man, bana as hulk (the movie was flawed but the main character was presented well imo) - but in this one the sympathies are split five different ways or whatever. could just be a mindless action flick, no scope for emotional investment.
actually, trust dickhead norton to disrupt the marvel-hollywood universe; apparently they tried to get him but negotiations broke down. ruffalo's better than him anyway.
Nobody cares about Norton anyway. Both Hulk movies weren't even worth the price of admission. (And not a word from you Ant-A-Knee)
The recent Hulk film was very good, IMO. I enjoyed it more than Ironman to be honest with you. Shame Norton isn't going to be in Avengers.
