15 Rounds between two great African junior middleweights. I'm taking Kalule here by late stoppage as I think John would be hitting air all night and frustrate himself to the point of exhaustion.
Kalule was quite good, but his chin was only so-so and he had a tendency to get drawn in to trading when he shouldn't have... it cost him badly against Davey Moore and Ray Leonard and I think it would cost him against Mugabi as well... He was one of those guys that to me was at his best when he was in there with a boxer, but not so much against a real banger... sort of a Junior Middleweight version of Ken Norton, but not quite as vulnerable as Norton
