FINALLY, REED Saw what All the HYPE was About as it Pertains to Chad Dawson...

Incredible Handspeed AND a High Workrate, w/Topnotch BODYPUNCHING to Boot:bears:...w/Out Question, Dawson Looked like the REAL DEAL Tonight...

He Even Took 3-4 FLUSH Left Hands from Tarver & NEVER Looked More than MILDLY Buzzed @ Any Moment...REED Predicted a Tarver KO & that NEVER Came Close to Materializing...

But B 4 REED Can FULLY Invest N Chad Dawson, he's GOT to Redeem Himself from that Fight w/Glencoffe Johnson...BEAT Johnson DECISIVELY & Then REED'll Become a TRUE Believer, Bad Chad...

Or, Face Everybody Else N the Division, yet Have Peeps like REED ALWAYS Bringing Up "The Glencoffe Fight"...

Glen deserves a rematch for sure.

    uh...

Asking someone to look good against Johnson...

    Jones didn't
    Tarver didn't
    Woods didn't
    Gonzales didn't
    Harding didn't

yet Dawson is supposed to buck the trend?

A rematch is certainly warranted, and I'd love to see it, but I don't know how another close win OR loss would change anything about either man's status.

I'll wait until Dawson fights the best before I worry about what he may or may not be.

Admit it, your mouth is watering over the prospect of Dawson/Hopkins.

No, I don't, because Chad Dawson isn't anybody and those guys are only interested in somebody right now.

Hopkins has been looking south since he beat Tarver, and Calzaghe, if he beats Jones, will probably do the same.

Dawson is making fights against light heavyweights.

Tavoris Cloud is the #1 contender. That fight will likely come before Hopkins, Calzaghe or Jones agree to fight Dawson...and might be a better one than any of the others.

While making numerous statements that he's moving down. You'll need a new argument.

Thing is that is not Glencoffe's fault he is just the charlie hustle of the fightgame!

Moving up or down in weight is one thing.

Being in a division and constantly looking down for fighters moving up, and making up artificial weight classes to do it, is another.

Like I said, Hopkins is looking to fight people who are going to generate money. But you know what? He's earned the right. If Dawson don't fight him, then there's nothing Chad can do about it. I have no doubt he'd like to make that fight.

As for Calzaghe? Him fighting Jones means a good deal more than Calzaghe v Dawson. Jones isn't moving up to make that fight. Calzaghe is the one who's experiencing 175 for the first time, as champion.

CHad's problem is he knows 175 is barren and he has no place in the parts that aren't. He's looking to get into the mix of big fights, but to do that he has to do something drastic. 168 is drastic.

Well, Dawson seems to be like Paul Williams in that he can sort of pick which weight class he wants to fight in. He's got a great body type for boxing, and one that can put on or take off weight much better than most. He moved up before he physically needed to.

But light heavyweight isn't barren in talent...it's barren in willing opponents. As you've described the situation, the names - like Hopkins, Calzaghe, Jones - are looking for money fights...and IMO, also looking for safer fights than Dawson (or probably Johnson).

No. It's money. Anyone would fight Dawson if it paid well.

And I disagree totally. 175 is shit.

I think he's looked pretty good so far, but he's not part of the senior's tour that currently inhabits 175, so hopefully Dawson will fight him.

I disagree that it's only about the money. Dawson represents a fight that none of them want at this point of their careers, IMO.

Regarding the strength of the division, I think the top 10 is deeper than a division like 160, or 168, but the problem is there's a clear dichotomy in terms of who will fight who...and Dawson isn't on the right side of that.

dawson vs cloud is the fight I want to see. maybe dawsons talent will overwhelm him and cloud will be outclassed, if not he'll bring the fight and it will be fierce. I don't care to watch hopkins vs anyone, including dawson

Why?Dawson clearly won the first fight. People watch fights with their hearts. Dawson is good. He is just to chinny and his stamina is too shitty for him to be dominant.

Are you fucking shitting me? Glencoffe almost knocked him out on several occasions and beat the crap out of Dawson. He did more than enough to get the nod. People were simply more interested in seeing this match with Tarver.

    GLENCOFFE IS THE REAL CHAMPION!!!
