So, do people agree that the bad economy help move boxing out of the casinos?

Boxing should stop going to the convention hall....or trump casinos and go to the Borgata...or back to Harrahs...

the boardwalk hall is a huge venue. i've always enjoyed watching fights there and it's right in the middle of the boardwalk next to the popular casinos. the ballroom or the concert hall they use at the borgata is too small. plus, the borgata is too expensive for people to stay at.

I don't get it. I can't see this changing all that much.

The reason why boxing is such an attraction at casinos is why they pay the fees. They bring in lots of revenue for the entire town, and the host casino gets alot of high rollers staying and playing at their hotel/casino. If they were going to spend their money on something, your best bet is that it would be on a fight.

Maybe there will be less, or fees would be restructured, but they'll still be treated way better than anyone else.

Plus, the only casino listed in that article that actually takes part in boxing is the Tropicana, and that's on very rare occasions.

Bally's, Cesars, and the Borgota are the big boxing players in Atlantic city.
