    you mean calzaghe vs. sheika?

hell yes it was. He was defending himself effectively and there were about 3 seconds left in the round, it was awful. Tyson-Ruddock was a joke as well - Mike lands a combo, Ruddock is knocked back, not down, isn't even wobbled and Steele jumps in? Bullshit stoppage.

    Agree with Calzaghe-Sheika though.

Miranda-Eastman was another as well, IMO, though by no means disgraceful.

Yeah, Manfredo was the worst I can remember and fuck the HBO crew by trying to justify the BS stoppage by saying "well Calzaghe would have won anyway." If that's the case, why the hell did they fight to begin with?

The Manfredo stoppage was slightly premature but

    A) Manfredo was too dumb to fire back
    B) The fight was so uncompetitive that it basically just saved Peter more punishment

Byrd's legs were so gone that he fell twice without punch and was totally punch-drunk, arguing if he had even been down. Since the time left in round shouldn't have an effect on whether or not referee stops the fight, it was a good stoppage.

In Tyson-Ruddock that situation itself wasn't that bad, but Ruddock had taken a helluva beating prior that and that was the reason it was stopped

PLEASE. Manfredo wasn't even close to being hurt. He was covering up while Calzaghe threw his hundred hand slap and was looking to throw a counter hook after Calzaghe flurried just like he did after every single one of Joe's flurries. That fight was a disgrace and anybody who tried to justify the premature stoppage by saying "well he woulda lost anyways" only reinforces the fact that the fight was a farce to begin with.

Byrd - Ibeabuchi was early? Like fuck. Tyson - Ruddock wasn't early either, but there's more argument for that than the Ike fight.

Byrd was out of it, slobbering like a retard, it was a good stoppage.

The Byrd stoppage came after a barrage of 9 punches, all of which he slipped. He was BADLY hurt by the punch and showed championship fortitude & mental alertness to pull himself together and recover. He did everything brilliantly, the stoppage was awful.

You need to rewatch that fight. Byrd was fucked and slobbering like a retard. The stoppage was good.

Let's just put it this way- you're more wrong on this issue than you are in our Ronaldo vs. Henry argument.

I thinK Brewer was about to get stopped legitimately, but it was still a bad stoppage.

Ruddock-Morrison, going by the flow of the fight, I felt it was horribly out of line and that Razor would have won had Lipton not stopped it.
