Down on the cards going into the final round most will just coast and be happy to survive. Who can you think of clearly went for it in the last round? Doesn't matter if they won/lost but who can you think of gave it their all knowing they only have 3 minutes to win and getting ko'ed be damned...

Trinidad against Vargas is probably the best example in an already winning effort.

Then you have the irony that the same thing happened to Tito - Hopkins closing the show in the last round of a fight he was dominating.

Leonard closing the show in the last round against Benitez in a fight he was clearly winning.

The coke addicted lounge singer did go balls to the ball in the last round against Ike... and punched himself out. Like the idiot he was. He would have finished Ike if he hadn't head hunted.

Such an idiot in the ring. If that was Leonard, Ike would have been a goner.

Galindez vs Kates 1 is definitely up there.

Galindez was dominating, and closed the show in the final seconds

But did he fight with more urgency or the same as the previous 11 rounds and just happened to land a shot?

I think he fought with more urgency, but it wasn't in Chavez's nature to go balls to the wall.

I think in the first Morales vs Pacquio fight Morales went kind of balls out in the final round if I'm not mistaken. I seem to remember Erik beating him pretty soundly and well ahead on the scorecards and then Erik decided to stay in the pocket and took some heavy shots from Pacquio. I thought that was crazy and didnt need to take chances. Switching Southpaw sticking out his chin daríng pac.

Gatti nearly pulled off the comeback. He hurt Robinson but couldn’t finish him, and Ivan won the decision

Provo would have stopped Bradley with one more round. Timmy was done at the end of the 12th.

He didn't quite pull it off but Manuel Medina against Paul Ingle is a contender imo.

Maskaev was behind on one card and had he lost the 12th he wouldn't have won the title
    ESPN had him behind....

    Vs Hasbeen Ragman, 2nd fight

He went all out to ensure he got the win.

Yes .... Froch really went after him, maniacally almost. And he had to. He was behind.
